Anonymity is not just a neutral shield—it’s the root cause of corruption, allowing criminality to flourish and bureaucracies to expand unchecked.

It erodes small, transparent government by enabling unaccountable officials to hide behind a veil of secrecy.

This destroys public trust, fuels inefficiency, and breeds corruption at every level. The solution lies in demanding transparency. Only through open, accountable governance can we prevent the unchecked growth of power and preserve the integrity of democracy.

Transparency is the antidote to the scourge of anonymity.

Open source, as a concept, does not nullify the fundamental rights of the creator. It is a system of shared innovation, but it operates within the boundaries of respect for the originator’s vision.

To say that open source gives anyone the unbridled freedom to alter a system and still claim it as the original is to misunderstand and distort the very principles that underpin it. Open source is not a license to erase the identity of a creation or to steal the rights of its creator. It is not an anarchic free-for-all where property and authorship are dissolved.

The freedom to build upon an existing codebase does not equate to the freedom to strip that system of its integrity and then falsely claim that it remains what it once was.

Consider Linux, a well-known open-source operating system. The code is available to anyone, but that availability does not mean that anyone who modifies it can claim the name Linux for their derivative works if those modifications fundamentally alter the core of the system.

If someone took the software from the Linux Foundation, twisted its architecture to resemble FreeBSD, and radically changed the kernel, they would not be allowed to call it Linux.

The integrity of the original system must be preserved if it is to retain its identity. The open-source model does not grant one the right to deface a creation, distort it beyond recognition, and continue to claim it under the banner of the original creator.

To do so is fraud, a blatant misrepresentation of what the creation was meant to be.

Open source, in its purest form, recognises that while code can be shared, ownership of the original concept remains with the creator. There are principles that cannot be violated.

BTC Core never had the authority to make fundamental changes to Bitcoin’s protocol. Any claim by them that they possess such authority is not only a lie but a betrayal of the very foundation upon which Bitcoin was built. Their actions represent the theft of an idea, the hijacking of a system that was never theirs to alter.

They are attempting to do with Bitcoin what no one would dare do with Linux—to take something that is no longer recognisable as the original and pass it off as if nothing has changed. This is a violation of the most basic principle of honesty in creation.

The open-source model does not grant them this right. Just as with Linux, the core identity of Bitcoin must remain intact for it to retain its name and its purpose. To suggest otherwise is to advocate for intellectual theft. BTC Core’s changes, which have altered Bitcoin’s very structure, have made it into something else entirely.

They cannot rightfully continue to call it Bitcoin, for what they now manage is a false representation of the original system. The name carries weight because it is associated with the principles Satoshi Nakamoto established—principles of immutability, traceability, and decentralisation.

These principles have been violated, and in doing so, BTC Core has forfeited the right to claim the legacy of Bitcoin.

Open source does not abolish ownership; it respects it. It allows for collaboration within boundaries, for improvement and innovation, but never for usurpation. BTC Core developers crossed that line when they took it upon themselves to rewrite the rules of Bitcoin without authority.

Their claim that they have the right to do so is the ultimate deceit, a self-serving distortion of both open-source principles and the rights of the creator. Satoshi Nakamoto created a system that was intended to remain unchanged.

To allow others to alter it and still call it Bitcoin is not merely a violation of property rights; it is a moral perversion, an attempt to steal the intellectual legacy of another under the guise of open collaboration.

Open source is not a tool for erasing the vision of the inventor, nor is it a mechanism for seizing control of what rightfully belongs to the individual who created it.

It is a platform for shared growth, not a vehicle for deception. To use it as such is to destroy the very foundations of ownership and to embrace the Communist lie that everything belongs to everyone.

BTC Core developers have no more right to call their altered system Bitcoin than someone who rewrites the Linux kernel would have to call their distorted creation Linux.

To permit this is to trample upon the very essence of property, to reject the sanctity of the individual mind, and to accept that creation can be stolen in plain sight.

The attached images demonstrate that the claim form was sent on Friday, the 11th of this month. Under CPR 6.14, service is deemed to take effect on the second business day after the claim form is sent. As weekends are excluded, the two business days bring us to Tuesday, the 15th, when service is considered complete.

In accordance with Hamlyn v. Houston & Co [1903] 1 KB 81, which establishes that service upon one partner is binding on the entire partnership, all partners in the BTC Core Partnership are therefore deemed to have been served as of the 15th.

This principle is further supported by Sunlife Assurance Company of Canada v. Jervis [1944] AC 111, which upholds the standard procedure for service timelines.

Pursuant to CPR 15.4, the defendants now have 14 days from the deemed date of service to file their defence. As service is deemed complete on Tuesday, the 15th, they must file their defence by Tuesday, the 29th.

The clock is already ticking, and failure to respond within this timeframe may result in a default judgment.

Serving the Partnership
Under CPR 7A PD 5.2, you can sue a partnership by naming the partnership itself, without necessarily naming each individual partner. The claim is then served on any one of the partners or, alternatively, on the partnership's principal place of business
Unknown Partners
If some of the partners are unknown, they are still bound by the proceedings as long as the claim has been properly served on the partnership or any one partner.
The partnership, as an entity, is considered to be the defendant, and service on one partner will be sufficient to commence the case against all partners.

This applies unless the partnership agreement or other statutory provisions provide otherwise.

BTC Core are common law.
Common Law Partnerships
Even without a formal agreement, groups acting in concert and carrying on business for profit can be found to be partners under common law.

In Mair v. Wood [1948] AC 311, it was held that the lack of formal documentation does not negate the existence of a partnership if their conduct implies one.

The law looks at the reality of the business relationship rather than the absence of formal documentation.

Case Law on Informal Partnerships
Courts have recognised informal partnerships where individuals work together in a manner that satisfies the definition of a partnership, even without written agreements.

For example, in Khan v. Miah [2000] 1 WLR 2123, the court found that a partnership can exist before profits are made.
The absence of a formal partnership agreement does not protect them from being treated as partners in the eyes of the law.

Free speech is not just a desirable outcome for society; it is the necessary result of respecting man’s nature as a rational being.

The capacity to reason is man’s fundamental tool for survival.

When we predicate the necessity of free speech on this fact, it becomes clear that without the freedom to express and communicate ideas, the process of reasoning itself is stifled.

For man to exercise his reasoning faculties fully, he must be free to examine, question, and articulate his thoughts without fear of repression.

This is because reason, by its nature, operates through comparison, critique, and correction—none of which can occur in a vacuum of silence.
The ability to articulate ideas allows for the testing of those ideas against reality and the minds of others.

If free speech is restricted, errors cannot be corrected because dissenting voices are silenced.

This leads to a state where falsehoods are not challenged, dogma solidifies, and society stagnates.

A society that suppresses speech is a society that rejects progress, because it cannot benefit from the rational discourse that exposes error and refines knowledge.
The predicate here is that truth is not known a priori; it is discovered through inquiry.

Free speech is the mechanism through which inquiry becomes possible.

When individuals are free to discuss, argue, and debate, they can identify weaknesses in existing beliefs and improve upon them.

History has shown that the most tyrannical regimes are those that suppress free speech because they fear the power of reason to dismantle their lies.

Therefore, a society that protects free speech is a society that protects the mechanism by which it evolves and improves.
Moreover, free speech fosters accountability. In a rational society, no authority is immune to question or critique.

By allowing free speech, individuals are empowered to hold institutions and power structures accountable.

This ensures that power does not become unchecked and corrupt.

By this reasoning, the absence of free speech leads to tyranny—where power is concentrated, unchallenged, and corrupt.

The freedom to express ideas is what keeps society in a constant state of improvement and adaptation to new realities.
Finally, free speech is not simply about the right to speak; it is about the right to think.

The act of speech is the externalization of thought.

If speech is suppressed, so is thought. To deny free speech is to deny man the ability to use his most vital faculty—his reason. And without reason, man is left powerless in the face of the world, unable to make choices or assert his independence.

A society that allows free speech, therefore, is a society that respects human nature and human flourishing

The behaviour observed within the BTC and broader cryptocurrency communities can be understood as an abdication of genuine argumentation.

If we consider the act of argument as a form of language-game—one that is fundamentally about engaging in reasoned discourse, proposing premises, and drawing conclusions from them—then what these communities engage in is not argumentation at all.

They are not playing the same game. Instead of adhering to the logical structures and rules that make meaningful dialogue possible, they have replaced it with a different activity entirely: one grounded in intimidation, shouting, and the suppression of dissent.

TThat is, #censorship.
This is not an argument. It is a performance that mimics the structure of discourse but lacks its essence. Where we might expect reasons, we are given labels.

Where we might expect the careful construction of an argument, we encounter only noise—loud, emotionally charged noise intended to overwhelm rather than convince. The objective, it seems, is not to engage the interlocutor, but to silence them.

This is not a path to truth.

This is not the language-game of philosophy or constructive debate; this is the language-game of bullies.

Their reliance on logical fallacies—especially ad hominem attacks—is telling. An ad hominem is a fallacy not because it is a particularly poor argument, but because it is not an argument at all. It is a refusal to engage with the actual content of the other’s position.

The attempt to discredit or insult the person presenting the argument bypasses the need to address the argument itself.

In a sense, this is a failure of language to do what language is meant to do in such contexts: foster understanding.

However, the BTC crowd have no intention for people to understand.
The screaming, the name-calling, the refusal to entertain counterarguments—these are all tactics designed to stifle discourse, to foreclose the possibility of mutual comprehension. The objective is not to explore the truth but to assert dominance.

As Wittgenstein might put it: they have shifted from the task of seeking clarity to engaging in language-games that serve only to maintain their control of the discourse.
What this reveals is a deeper problem: an unwillingness to subject their views to critical scrutiny. When one cannot argue, one must either remain silent or, as they do, attempt to drown out opposition. They do not realise that, in doing so, they have stepped outside the bounds of rational inquiry.

They are no longer in the realm of philosophy, logic, or reason, but in the realm of dogma.

Language has ceased to function as a bridge between minds and has become a weapon, a tool for enforcing submission rather than achieving understanding.
In short, those within the BTC and cryptocurrency communities who resort to these tactics are not engaged in argument, but in a kind of linguistic violence.

They are not players in the same game as those who seek truth through reason.

Instead, they are attempting to subvert the rules of the game altogether, shouting louder in the hope that this will make them right.

To defend the right of the inventor to set something within a protocol is to defend the very essence of property rights—the foundation upon which all human progress stands. Satoshi Nakamoto, in creating Bitcoin, made a declaration that the protocol was immutable, set in stone. This was not a mere technical decision but a moral stance, an assertion that the creator has the sovereign right to determine the path and purpose of what they bring into existence.

When Satoshi Nakamoto said Bitcoin was unchangeable, it was not just a statement about software; it was a declaration of the integrity of creation itself. To now suggest that a group of unauthorised developers can alter the protocol is to reject the rights of the individual creator and to hand the keys of innovation to the whims of a collective.

This is the Communist/collectivist lie, the perversion that demands that an individual’s creation belongs to the mob and can be reshaped by any who claim the right to do so.
The right to one's invention is the most sacred form of property. Without this right, there is no creation, no innovation, no future. It is the self-determined mind, the sovereign creator, who builds systems like Bitcoin, systems meant to function as envisioned by their creator.

To allow unauthorised developers to alter the protocol—developers who had no hand in its creation, who do not understand or respect its original design—is to violate the very principle of property rights.

It is to say that a man’s mind, once having given birth to an idea, can be usurped by those who have contributed nothing to its creation.

This is the lie of collectivism, the insidious claim that no man owns what he builds, that the fruits of his labour must be ceded to the hands of the collective, to be twisted and torn apart as the mob sees fit.
Property rights are the backbone of all civilised society.

They are the moral recognition that an individual has the right to the product of his mind, his effort, and his vision. When Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, he established a protocol that was to remain unchanged—a system that operated according to rules that were clear, unalterable, and just.

To alter that protocol now is to engage in an act of intellectual theft, to rewrite the very nature of the invention. It is not merely a technical decision; it is a moral corruption that seeks to erase the boundaries of ownership, a corruption that leads inevitably to the dissolution of the individual’s right to his own mind and his own work.
The attempt to claim that BTC Core or any group of developers has the right to change the protocol of Bitcoin is to reject the very premise of Satoshi’s invention. It is to say that nothing is sacred, that the mind of the creator can be overridden by the votes of a faceless collective.

This is the path of tyranny, the annihilation of the individual, and the ultimate Communist lie—that creation belongs not to the creator, but to the masses.

To defend the immutability of Bitcoin’s protocol is to defend the most fundamental principle of freedom: the right of an individual to control the product of their mind and to ensure that it is not destroyed by the hands of others.
