People love to throw around terms like "scientific values" as if they mean something concrete, but let me tell you—it’s complete bullshit.
There’s a scientific method, sure, and it’s one of the greatest tools we’ve ever created for uncovering truths about the physical world.
But values? Morality? Ethics?
They’re not scientific, and they never will be. You can’t measure them, test them, or replicate them in a lab. That’s not how it works.
Yeah, you can talk about rational morality, and sure, you can approach ethical questions with reason and logic. But scientific morality? Scientific values?
That’s just smoke and mirrors. It’s a way to manipulate people who haven’t been trained to see through the jargon. The scientific method is about observation, experimentation, and proof. It has no room for religion, no room for subjective ethics, and no place in areas it simply can’t measure.
The hypocrisy of using "scientific values" as some kind of moral high ground is astounding. It’s not science—it’s a bastardisation of the term, designed to confuse and control.
The scientific method is for understanding reality, not twisting it to fit someone’s agenda. If you’re going to talk about values, leave science out of it.
Stick to what it can do, not what you wish it could.
The misuse of terms like "scientific values" is an insult to reason and the integrity of the scientific method.
Science is a tool—a brilliant, irreplaceable tool for discovering truths about the natural world.
But as Stayed, values? Morality?
These belong to the realm of philosophy, to the exercise of rational thought applied to human action and existence. To call values “scientific” is to betray both science and morality, reducing them to a meaningless abstraction.
The scientific method operates within the boundaries of measurable, objective reality.
The scientific method has people who observe, the method involves experiments, the end is a person proves.
But morality is not a science—a rational code of ethics derived from the fundamental question of what is necessary for man to live and flourish. Morality is rooted in the facts of reality, yes, but it is not subject to the same processes of empirical validation. Values cannot be measured by instruments or tested in laboratories; they are chosen through the exercise of reason and free will.
Those who invoke “scientific values” are not advancing science—they are perverting it.
They, the woke et al. use the term to evade the hard work of philosophy, to smuggle in their own unexamined beliefs under the guise of objectivity. This is not the pursuit of truth; it is intellectual cowardice.
Science and philosophy are two distinct but complementary realms.
Science can provide us with the facts of reality, but it is philosophy—reason—that tells us how to act upon those facts.
To conflate the two is to destroy both, leaving man adrift in a fog of contradictions. If we are to defend the mind and the method of science, we must also defend the sanctity of morality as a rational enterprise. The manipulation of language to blur these distinctions is the hallmark of collectivism and intellectual dishonesty. And it is to be rejected with all the certainty of a mind committed to truth.

Someone, anyone—define for me what the hell "scientific values" are.
Go ahead. How do you measure a value scientifically?
You can’t.
You can’t weigh it, you can’t run it through a lab, and you sure as hell can’t calculate its worth with a bloody formula.
So tell me—how do you defend this anti-intellectual, anti-flourishing, anti-human garbage you’re selling as some kind of enlightened system?
If your so-called values have no basis in science, no way to be measured, then what the hell are they?
I see just another way to manipulate people too polite or too distracted to call out the bullshit?
Values aren’t test tubes or beakers. You don’t put them under a microscope and get an answer. They are decisions, choices we make to build something better—or worse. And your amoral system, designed to tear down everything good, has no value.
None.
You can’t measure scientific flourishing, you can’t chart morality, and you sure as hell can’t slap a "scientific" label on the destruction of reason, progress, and humanity.
So... if you think you can justify it, go on, defend it.
Tell me how your "scientific" experiment works.
Show me how you take ethics, break them into little pieces, and prove their worth in a lab.
Because from where I stand, all you’ve got is words dressed up as science to excuse the decay you’re pushing on the world.
Morality boils down to the kind of society we want to create—a society where people can live, work, and thrive. And yes, people have different subjective ideas about what that looks like.
That’s fine.
That’s part of being human. But then there’s the anti-objective crowd, the ones who don’t just disagree—they want to tear down anything that doesn’t align with their narrow worldview.
They aren’t building anything—they’re wrecking it.
Now, tell me: how do you objectively define "scientific morality"?
Go ahead, I’ll wait.
If you’re going to talk about scientific values, then you’re going to need scientific morality too. The two are inseparable. You can’t have one without the other. And here’s the kicker—morality, ethics, values—they’re not something you can measure or stick into an experiment. You can’t quantify a choice, a principle, a standard for human action. You can’t take ethics, pour them into a test tube, and say, “There it is, scientific proof!”
That’s the problem. Scientific morality, scientific values—it’s a con.
A way to shut down debate, to say, “We’ve got the facts, and you don’t.” But morality isn’t about facts—it’s about reason.
It is about choosing principles that lead to human flourishing. And this is not close to the same for everyone.
And if you can’t see that, if you think slapping the word "scientific" on your ideas makes them untouchable, then you’re not just anti-objective—you’re anti-reason, anti-progress, and anti-human.
You’re lost.

Education is failing us because we’ve turned it into a farce.
We tell kids to make their own choices, to “follow their hearts,” as if they’re capable of that before they’ve learned a damn thing.
Before they’ve been exposed to virtue, to morality, to the principles that make a society function.
It is absolutely absurd. And this, right here, is why we’re drowning in this mess of collapsing values.
We have forgotten that values aren’t some whimsical, subjective whim—they’ve existed for thousands of years for a reason. They’re rooted in hard-earned experience, in what works for human flourishing.
They’re objective in their foundation, even if they’re not scientifically measurable.
Look at education.
Does a child understand the value of the alphabet before they’ve learned it?
Of course not.
They do not see the purpose of numbers, of mathematics, of books, until they’ve been taught.
They don’t understand the why.
But we teach them anyway because they need it, because it’s foundational. That is the point. You don’t give them a choice about whether or not they want to learn it—you give them the tools, the knowledge, and the understanding first. Only then can they make choices worth a damn.
We’ve lost that.
We have handed over the reins to children, to people who don’t even know what the reins are for.
We have abandoned the responsibility of teaching virtue, morality, and discipline. And look where it’s gotten us. We need to get back to the basics—teaching what matters, even if they don’t see it yet. Because education isn’t about making kids feel good about their choices—it’s about giving them the tools to make the right ones.
Value isn’t completely subjective—far from it.
There are principles that make society work, things that hold it together or tear it apart.
Sure, I admit, you can argue that values are a matter of personal preference, but let’s be real—if you’re taking a position that embraces chaos and disorder, at least have the guts to be honest about it.
Own it.
Say, “Yeah, I want the world to burn.” But most people don’t. They won’t admit that.
Instead, they hypocritically spout values they don’t actually agree with, pretending to be something they’re not.
Here’s the thing: values aren’t just a collection of subjective whims.
Values are based on what allows people to coexist, to build, to thrive. You can’t just shrug and say, “Anything goes,” because it doesn’t. Society doesn’t function in a vacuum.
Groups of people need order, structure, and principles that work. And those principles aren’t arbitrary. They’re rooted in reality—what works, what doesn’t.
So when someone claims it’s all subjective, that there’s no foundation for values, you’ve got to call bullshit.
Because these pissant twats are not living in chaos, are they?
They are reaping the benefits of a system built on order, stability, and rules. If they really believed in chaos, they wouldn’t be here arguing—they’d be out there tearing it all down. But they’re not.
They’re hypocrites, pretending their relativism is some kind of intellectual high ground. It’s not.
It is just cowardice dressed up as philosophy.

Someone, anyone—define for me what the hell "scientific values" are.
Go ahead. How do you measure a value scientifically?
You can’t.
You can’t weigh it, you can’t run it through a lab, and you sure as hell can’t calculate its worth with a bloody formula.…

The idea of an atheist chaplain is a glaring emblem of society's descent into hypocrisy and moral decay, perfectly encapsulated by the likes of Harvard and other bastions of so-called progressivism.
These institutions, under the guise of inclusion and wokeness, have turned the sacred role of spiritual guidance into a cheap façade, a hollow imitation of something they clearly neither respect nor understand.
A non spiritual Chaplaincy is not about serving people—it’s about pushing an agenda, erasing the meaning of the role, and replacing it with a token of their ideological conquests.
A chaplain is not just a title; it’s a calling, rooted in faith, in spirituality, in something higher than ourselves. To hand that role to someone who denies the existence of God is not only absurd, it’s deceptive.
These are not psychologists or counselors, nor are they spiritual guides. They are impostors, cloaked in the language of compassion but offering no substance, no faith, no truth.
This is what we are giving to our children: hypocrisy dressed up as progress.
This lie is not inclusion—it’s moral bankruptcy.
This hypocrisy is not progress—it’s the dismantling of values that once gave meaning and direction to society. If this is what the leaders of tomorrow are being taught to accept, then the future they inherit will be as hollow and hypocritical as the people we are now appointing to guide them.
@GadSaad
The distinction between a counsellor, a psychologist, and a chaplain is clear and critical.
Counsellors and psychologists are dedicated to emotional support, mental health, and guiding individuals through personal challenges. Their focus is rooted in psychology, science, and therapeutic methods.
A chaplain, however, stands apart. While they may also provide emotional support, their primary role is entirely different: they are the representative of a religious doctrine, a spiritual guide, and a connection to God or a higher power.
To replace this sacred role with someone who rejects the very foundation of spirituality—a self-proclaimed atheist—is to discard the essence of what a chaplain is.
Such a substitution is not just illogical; it is a brazen rejection of reality and a hypocritical contradiction.
A chaplain who denies the existence of God or spirituality undermines the trust and authenticity that the role demands. It turns the position into a hollow parody, stripping it of meaning and leaving those in need of genuine spiritual guidance with nothing but empty platitudes.
This absurdity, pushed under the guise of progress and inclusivity, is an affront to the traditions and principles that underpin the role of a chaplain.
Note that it is worth calling attention to this and acknowledging the true chaplains—those who remain committed to their spiritual purpose, who embody the faith and authenticity that the position requires.
They are the ones who uphold the integrity of the role and deserve recognition for their service.

The notion that one can claim the title of chaplain while being an atheist or a humanist is an act of perfidy cloaked in pretense.
A chaplain is, by its very essence, a beacon of spirituality, a voice of the divine, a connection to something transcendent. To insert the godless into this sacred role is a betrayal not just of tradition, but of logic itself. Atheism and humanism may craft their own ethical frameworks, but they are bereft of spirituality, devoid of the sacred, and utterly detached from the divine.
To take this absence and masquerade it as faith is a kind of elegant self-deceit, a rarefied duplicity that borders on intellectual fraudulence. It is not progress—it is a kind of corrosive sophistry, eroding the meaning of words until they become hollow.
Any chaplain who denies God is no chaplain at all; they are a facsimile, a shadow, a figure that offers form without substance.
Humanism, however noble in intent, cannot replace spirituality, for it lacks the divine thread that weaves a chaplain's purpose.
To call oneself a chaplain while rejecting the sacred is a paradox so glaring, so rarefied in its self-contradiction, that it might be admired if it weren’t so absurd. It is not hypocrisy in its common form, but a more exquisite kind—a lyrical contradiction that sings of a world turned upside down, where titles are emptied of meaning and truth is abandoned for the sake of appearances.
Such a perversion of purpose demands a new word, for this is no ordinary deceit. It is an act of sophrosyne’s betrayal, where balance and authenticity are sacrificed on the altar of modernity’s hollow ideals. Let this be a requiem for the true chaplains, the bearers of faith, who stand as guardians of the sacred in a world that would discard them for the sake of fashionable duplicity.

@GadSaad

So, you want to know what it means IF fake Bitcoin #BTC hits $1 million a coin? Let me tell you, it’s not the fantasy they sold you on. It’s a monster wearing a suit, pretending it’s freedom while it eats the world alive.
At $1 million per BTC, the miners—those leeches on the grid—would burn through 15.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity every single day. That’s 20.68% of the world’s energy use, just to chase digital coins in a system designed for fools who think speculation is the same as innovation.
Do you understand what that means? One in every five light bulbs, factories, homes, and power plants on this planet would exist solely to keep this charade running. Not for healthcare, not for education, not for anything that actually matters. No, all that energy goes into solving math problems that produce nothing but zeros and ones on a blockchain ledger. You could light up entire countries with that electricity, but instead, it's sacrificed on the altar of greed.
And don’t kid yourself—this isn’t decentralisation. It’s a power game, rigged by those who can afford the most efficient machines, the cheapest electricity, and the biggest mining farms. The little guy? He’s already been squeezed out. What you’re left with is a global energy hog run by corporate giants in the name of “freedom.” It’s as free as the chains they slip around your neck.
But here’s the kicker: they’ll tell you it’s all worth it. That this system is going to “save the world” or “bank the unbanked” or some other hollow slogan they cooked up in a marketing meeting. Meanwhile, they’re laughing all the way to their insulated mansions, their offshore accounts fat with cash while your electric bill skyrockets.
The world doesn’t bend for fantasies like this without someone paying the price. And that someone is you. You, sitting in your dimly lit room wondering why the grid went down, why the air feels thicker, why the world around you seems a little darker every day. That’s the cost of this so-called revolution—a revolution for the rich, powered by the poor.
So go ahead, cheer for $1 million BTC if you want. Just don’t forget what it costs to keep that dream alive. It’s not just money. It’s the earth beneath your feet, the air in your lungs, the light in your home. And when it’s all burned up, don’t say nobody warned you.
Do you still think this is possible? Really? You believe the world will stand by as 20% of its energy gets sucked into the black hole of BTC mining, just so a handful of people can wave their wallets around like some golden ticket to paradise? Open your eyes. There’s no paradise here, only scorched earth and rolling blackouts. Entire grids would collapse before this fantasy even gets off the ground.
Think about it—15.3 billion kilowatt-hours burned every single day. Do you really think governments, industries, and ordinary people are going to let that happen? When factories shut down, when hospitals lose power, when food spoils because the grid can’t keep up—who’s going to take the blame? You think the world’s just going to shrug and say, “Well, BTC’s worth it”? No chance.
This isn’t just a logistical impossibility. It’s a moral one. You don’t get to torch the world’s resources for a speculative bet and call it progress. It’s a system that would devour itself long before it reached $1 million per coin. And if you’re still clinging to the dream after hearing this, maybe the real problem isn’t BTC—it’s your inability to see the cliff you’re running toward.
You want to talk about what happens when BTC mining takes up 20% of the world’s electricity?
Fine.

Picture this: the air’s thicker, the lights flicker, and the hum of your fridge is replaced by the silence of decay. That’s the sound of progress, right? Or so they’ll tell you.
Progress built on the back of gas, oil, and coal, choking the earth so some idiot can stare at a digital wallet and call himself a genius.
The cost of this madness?
Everything. Energy prices explode, taking down your paycheck, your savings, your life. You thought inflation was bad before? Try buying bread when the baker can’t keep his ovens running because mining farms ate the grid alive. Whole towns go dark, hospitals ration power, and factories shut their doors. But hey, at least you’ve got your BTC, right? Right? The value of nothing, built on the cost of everything.
And the oil barons, the gas tycoons—they’ll love this. They’ll pump more, drill more, sell more, laughing as you cough on the fumes of their success. Renewable energy? Forget it. The world won’t have time for windmills when the machines demand coal and diesel to keep their golden goose alive. Carbon footprints the size of continents, but sure, call it innovation. Call it freedom. Call it whatever the hell you want, but don’t call it sustainable.
This isn’t economics; it’s a hostage situation. The world becomes addicted to the very thing that’s killing it, and for what? So a handful of people can say they were there when BTC hit a million. The rest of us pay the price. We pay in rolling blackouts, in empty wallets, in food rotting on powerless shelves. We pay in the collapse of industries that actually matter while miners suck the life out of the grid like vampires on a binge.
You think this is a future worth fighting for? You think the world’s going to let it happen?
Wake up.
No government, no industry, no ordinary person is going to stand by while the cost of living quadruples and the planet burns. BTC won’t get to a million because the world will collapse under its weight long before that. And when it does, when the lights go out for good, don’t say you weren’t warned. You bet the house on a fantasy, and now there’s no one left to clean up the ashes.
You think BTC is decentralised? You think governments can’t stop it? Sit down and let me spell it out for you. This isn’t some untouchable, ethereal system floating above the laws of reality. It’s grounded in one simple, undeniable fact: power. Electricity. Those big data centres running the miners, guzzling megawatts like there’s no tomorrow, are as centralised as they come. They’re not hidden; they’re not invincible. They’re big, loud targets just waiting for someone to flip the switch.
Governments don’t need to ban BTC. They don’t need to outlaw wallets or regulate exchanges into oblivion. All they need to do is cut the cord. No power, no miners. No miners, no blocks. No blocks, no BTC. You think those mining farms in Texas or Kazakhstan are going to stand up against government scrutiny? A few phone calls, a bit of legislation, and those lights go out faster than your over-leveraged position in a bear market.
And don’t start with that nonsense about “the little guy mining at home.” That ship sailed a decade ago. BTC mining isn’t decentralised—it’s a corporate game, run by entities with enough capital to make it worth their while. The energy draw alone proves it. You think your government isn’t watching those power grids spike? You think they don’t know exactly where that electricity is going? If you’re too stupid to see that, you’re too stupid to understand any of this.

BTC’s Achilles’ heel isn’t the code, it’s the infrastructure. It’s the fragile, electricity-hungry beast sitting on a throne of fossil fuels and corporate greed. And when the lights go out, so does your dream of decentralisation. Remember that the next time you parrot your “unstoppable” mantra. It’s not unstoppable; it’s just waiting for someone with the power—literal, electrical power—to stop it.
If it were producing something—if it were replacing beads in an osteotide, or functioning as true digital cash—then maybe, just maybe, it would hold some real value. That would be worth something, something huge. A system that creates utility, that replaces inefficiencies, that actually contributes to how we live and work. That’s where the value is, in building, in replacing what’s broken with something better.
But it isn’t doing any of that. BTC isn’t solving problems; it’s creating new ones. It’s not digital cash, it’s a speculative game dressed up as innovation. A glorified casino for those who don’t understand what money is supposed to do. Instead of streamlining commerce, instead of reducing costs, it burns through energy and resources like they’re infinite. And for what? To prop up an illusion of scarcity, to inflate a price that means nothing to anyone except those cashing out.
If it had been digital cash, something people could use for micropayments, for actual exchange, it would have been revolutionary. But it’s not. It’s a hollow shell, a broken promise wrapped in hype. It doesn’t produce anything; it doesn’t replace anything. It just consumes, endlessly, without giving anything back. And for me, that’s the real failure. Not the broken economics, not the energy waste, but the lost opportunity. It could have been something. But it isn’t.
