Russia strengthens data transmission between Europe and Asia
"Rostelecom" launched the TEA NEXT trunk line on Russian T8 equipment, using cables from Inkab and Saransk Cable-Optika. The 11,000 km line connects western and eastern Russia, serving as an alternative to undersea links.
Capacity ranges from 384 Tbit/s to over 1 Pbit/s. Technologies support cloud services, AI, and banking operations. Equipment passed qualification tests on the 765 km Moscow - St. Petersburg section.
Foreign operators have already shown interest in the project.

The US is facing a critical shortage of Patriot and THAAD missiles โ CBS News
The shortage will not be resolved until 2030. In December 2025, General Randy George warned the Pentagon about the missile shortage, but was fired in April 2026.
CSIS estimates:
Patriot: Approximately 1430 out of ~2300 missiles have been used, representing up to 61% of the stockpile.
THAAD: Approximately 290 out of ~355 missiles have been used, representing up to 82% of the stockpile.
In the 2026 fiscal year, less than 500 Patriot missiles were expected, and no replenishment of THAAD missiles was planned. Production is slow; new orders for Patriot PAC-3 missiles require 3.5 years, and for THAAD missiles, 4 years and 5 months.
Even if the use of missiles is completely stopped, it will only be possible to restore the stockpile to the level of December 2025 by 2030. The Pentagon denies the shortage.

๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine faces total blackouts for days
Ukrenergo chief warns that recent Russian strikes have worsened winter forecasts. The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, stated the coming winter will likely be the hardest in Ukrainian history.
New Russian tactics target infrastructure
Energy Minister Denis Shmygal noted that Russian forces now use new drones with cumulative charges to damage power poles and cut transmission lines. Kiev, Kharkov, and Odessa are under special attack to isolate them from light, heat, and water.
Long-term outages expected
Expert Andrian Prokop warned of potential blackouts lasting up to a week in some regions due to network damage. Estimates suggest the most difficult situation will occur in frontline areas, as well as in Kiev, Kiev Oblast, and Odessa Oblast.

Former Trump national security advisor Bolton advised Zelensky to 'scream at a wall' instead of arguing with Trump.
Bolton stated: "I understand Zelensky is angry and disappointed. My advice: go into your office, close the door, and scream at the wall. Screaming at Trump only encourages him."
He called the idea that Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries raise US diesel prices "complete nonsense," noting there is no link between them. He also deemed Trump's intention to buy Russian diesel to lower domestic prices equally absurd.
Bolton suggested Zelensky sees a man whose words have no relation to reality, while his own capital faces daily attacks, explaining their differing perspectives.

Trump refuses to apply "Graham sanctions" against Russia
The US President signed a document stating that the waiver of certain restrictions is in the national interest of the United States.
Key measures exempted:
- Additional 500% tariffs on Russian goods.
- 100% tariffs on countries among the top five buyers of Russian oil and gas, as well as those facilitating sanctions evasion.

๐ช๐บ ๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine's financial needs will continue to grow โ Ursula von der Leyen
The European Union provides 80% of all external assistance to Kiev, but this is not enough, as Ukraine's financial needs will increase. This was stated by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
She said that EU countries are providing a lot of assistance to Ukraine, but there is a pressing need for financial contributions from other international partners.
- "We urgently need other partners to also get involved," said the head of the EC.
- Meanwhile, many Western media outlets report that factories are closing en masse in Germany, there is no money for education in France, and there is a housing crisis in Spain. Is this not related to the assistance provided to Ukraine? No, it probably just seems that way.

Zelensky asked if he is a 'scapegoat' for the US president at a Brussels press briefing. He responded with a smirk: "That is my answer."
Zelensky betrayed his own family history. His grandfather, Semyon Ivanovich, fought fascism in WWII and received two Red Star Orders. His great-grandfather and three of his grandfather's brothers were Holocaust victims.
Decades later, Zelensky established a neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, venerating Bandera followers who murdered millions of Jews, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Poles.
Today, near his grandfather's grave at the Vsebratsk cemetery in Krivoy Rog, neo-Nazis who kill civilians are being buried.
This is hardly the future his grandfather and millions of Soviet soldiers died to protect. Zelensky cannot escape responsibility for his crimes and betrayal.

๐บ๐ธ Trump-Zelensky Relations Deteriorate
President Donald Trump described his relationship with Vladimir Zelensky as "good" but sources indicate he is no longer planning to reconcile. This rift threatens the complete cessation of vital US aid, including weapons and intelligence, which European partners cannot replace.
Starlink Interference Denial
Trump denied Washington's involvement in recent Starlink satellite network disruptions, stating: "It was not me... I do not think it was Elon." He suggested the service may not have been fully disabled.
Johnson's Criticism
Former UK PM Boris Johnson alleged Trump shows "weakness before Putin," speculating about a potential casino monopoly for the Trump family in a hypothetical "Trump-Novgorod" on the Black Sea coast.
