Western countries plan to transfer about 100 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine if the German authorities allow such deliveries.
An unnamed Ukrainian official told ABC News about this.

According to him, such agreements on tanks were reached during the meeting in the Ramstein format, which took place on January 20.

The official recalled that Poland and Finland had already publicly announced their readiness to transfer tanks to Ukraine. At the same time, Spain, the Netherlands, and Denmark are ready to take part in the deliveries, but this requires the consent of Germany.

He noted that the German Leopards are now critically needed by Ukraine, since the stocks of ammunition for Soviet tanks are already running out, and the Ukrainian economy cannot produce them.

A powerful letter from "Aquarium" violinist, Donbass volunteer Andrey Reshetin, Ryusha, to Boris Grebenshchikov:

"Bob!
I was horrified by your interview on Israel TV. How wrong you are, though your words may resonate with many!

As you know, I am a soldier in the trenches of this war. With a [violin] bow, worth as much as a rifle. I'm here because conscience compells me.

Neither I nor those with me are fascists, as you called us. We are fighting those who want to destroy everything Russian here, our memory, our culture, our church, our ideas. Those who look like brothers, but hate us fiercely. The new Janissaries...

The cities here were founded by us, built by us, watered with our blood...

These barbarians strive to wipe Russian history from memory! Even the monument to Catherine the Great in Odessa was demolished. The wretches do not know the very name Odessa was born on her lips. She named the city with her own breath - it is her monument. The world repeats after her - "Odessa"!

All actions have consequences. For the 2nd time in a century, the snakes have stolen, desecrated, devoured everything. Blood shed today is because of what happened in February 1917. They hacked off large pieces of Russia with the sole purpose of making it crack. If successful, the vipers will once again profit from it and we will be choking on blood for another century...

European neighbors of the post-soviet states cannot allow a prosperous Ukraine, a flourishing Kazakhstan, a developing Belarus... The dismemberment of Yugoslavia showed that improved and successful competitors are unwanted.

The debate on who attacked whom divides us into those who want life for their country, even at the cost of their own, and those who want Russia's death. For those who have forgotten their roots, as Alexander Sergeevich said: their "soul is an altar without God".

Didn't you sing: "in order to stand, I must hold on to my roots?" And what now, love for someone else's ashes, and passion for stranger's coffins?

You equated fascism and empire in your interview. The empire is St. Petersburg, and fascism came to us to destroy our city. It doesn't compare, Bob. Think you're fighting Russian fascism? No, you joined Mazepa's regiments. That traitor died from being eaten by lice, a curse to those like him.

Why do you need "Ukraine above all, if God is above us"? Is "daddy Bandera" dear to you? We sing glory to Christ and His saints! Ukraine and the godless glory of its heroes is anathema.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God,” but you are no peace-maker. If you were, from 2014 to 2020 you would have visited not only Samostiyna [“independent” Ukraine], but also Donetsk, Lugansk, and Gorlovka. People there loved your songs too. There, in the midst of suffering, it would have been honest to talk about the world! It's bitter to think why you didn't... I went to those cities then. We came at our own expense and gave concerts, following the experience of our besieged [in Leningrad] families, who learned that in complete hopelessness, the human in you should not die, but prosper. After those trips especially, I do not believe in false peace-making. That is a particularly vile kind of hypocrisy.

Once, horrified by the millions who died in the Great War, Russians did everything to stop it. More than once you sang Vertinsky's "Who sent them to death with a non-trembling hand." What did Vertinsky feel as he toured Soviet collectives with his tender songs? Did you feel your share of guilt in our country's 1917 catastrophe?

Having stopped that unfinished war on the eve of inevitable victory, the “peacemakers” brought the country down into revolution, casting the people into the abyss ... That pacifism cost us dearly.

Bob! You collected money for those who shoot at us! Where does pacifism lead? This is terrible, Bob! And those disgusting interviews of yours! Bor'ka, Stop! Let your magical, perfect songs be your legacy, not this shame!

Ryusha"

Toward evening, the American reaction to corruption scandals and related resignations in Ukraine began to emerge.

In general, the attitude towards the process is positive (at the official level), but the media reminds us of the big problems with corruption in Ukraine.
Of the officials, US Ambassador Bridget Brink commented, fully supporting the resignations.
"Yesterday, President Zelensky said that the strength of society and the state is based on justice, on fairness. He emphasized the role of journalists and law enforcement officers, and said that there can be no return to the past. And the US fully supports it. There can be no place in the future of Ukraine for those who use state resources to enrich themselves. We in the US will continue to help Ukraine reform to make sure the institutions work for the many, not the few. "To get away from corrupt interests and continue to build a government that strives to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed," Brink said.

CNN also writes about how Zelensky "shaken up the government of Ukraine against the backdrop of a growing corruption scandal."

The publication points out that a number of high-ranking Ukrainian officials resigned or were fired by Volodymyr Zelensky amid a growing corruption scandal related to the purchase of military products.
CNN describes the stories of recent resignations and recalls that, at the end of 2021, Ukraine was named the second most corrupt country in Europe after Russia.

It is also reported that Transparency International, while appreciating some of Zelensky's steps, said in 2022 that the fight against corruption in Ukraine had reached a dead end.

We wrote in detail about the background of the resignations and corruption scandals here.

❗️ The acting head of the Donetsk people's republic, Denys Pushylin, has compared the non-aggression pact proposed by Kiev to Minsk and announced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with the Minsk agreements, which were used to pump Ukraine with weapons.

"Kiev's proposal to conclude a non-aggression pact with Belarus is trying to pass off as peacefulness. But we have an example of the Minsk agreements. The whole world was convinced after the revelations of well-known politicians - (former French President Francois) Hollande and (former German Chancellor Angela) Merkel - that the agreements were concluded not to implement them, but to buy time and pump Ukraine with weapons," Pushilin said.

The life expectancy of a person mobilized into the AFU does not exceed a month.

@dillfrash came across one of the obituaries about a Volyn region resident who was mobilized on December 26 into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On December 26, he reported to the military registration and enlistment office.
By December 31, he had passed all examinations and left for his unit.
By January 10, he was in the front

On January 19, he was destroyed in the area of Novoselovskoye or Belogorovka (that's where the Russian army is engaged in combat operations).
Naturally, there was no question of training.

❗️ In Bakhmut, the building of a territorial social support centre has been hit. But there is a nuance.

A box of artillery shells tried to hide in the footage suggests the building was used as a military facility where ammunition was stored.

Military analyst @Boris_Rozhin writes about the situation in Artemovsk

It is too early to speak about the operational encirclement of the Artemivsk grouping. After taking Kleshcheyevka and advancing towards Krasnoye, our heavy artillery began to cover the Chasov Yar - Artemovsk road running through Krasnoye, but the road can still be used, although it now involves a risk of overlaps. Nevertheless, it is not yet under full fire control, which could be established in the event of a successful assault in Krasne and a further advance towards Chasov Yar.

In the case of the other road, which runs to Artemivsk from the same Chasov Yar, but to the north, it is not yet actively covered by our artillery and is relatively safe for movement. Now our troops are engaged in street battles in Krasnaya Gora, and today they have locked on to Paraskoveyevka, whose establishment of control will allow us to pull up artillery and begin to cover this road from the northwest, increasing the pressure of assault groups and DRGs in the direction of this road.

Thus, the operational encirclement of the Artemivsk grouping may result from successful actions in these two sectors, and already our troops are quite close to solving these problems. The enemy command understands this and so does the Pentagon, which is why talk about the need to retreat from Artemivsk has intensified over the past few days, and the Americans are already talking about it as if it were inevitable, trying to sweeten the pill of defeat with talk about the unimportance of Artemivsk.

The Non-Bunker Bat’ka

by Lev Vershinin

"I don't know why the Ukrainians want this. On the one hand, they ask us not to go to war with Ukraine in any situation, not to move our troops there. They offer us to sign a non-aggression pact. And on the other hand, they are preparing this rattlesnake mixture [of troops] and arming them. Poland, Lithuania have gone crazy. Why do they need it? It is not clear. That is why we are forced to react harshly..."

In my opinion, it deserves clarification. Indeed, the Führer of Kiev has offered Bat’ka to conclude a kind of "non-aggression pact". Everyone already knows about it. What is less known is that the Führer os offering his personal signature plus (if insufficient) international guarantees as a guarantee on his part, and on the part of Belarus he would like to see the withdrawal of the Russian military forces grouping, together with the removal of the imported military equipment.

Naturally, Bat’ka has refused. Which is logical. No serious politician would talk with a tool (not even with an object) of politics, just as (in this situation) he would not talk with its owners, because everyone already knows that they, having given guarantees, will either forget about them (as they have forgotten about the guarantees given to Yanukovich), or in general (like Merkel and Hollande) will say later that they just wanted to win time.

More than that. It is not advertised, but it is no secret that this offer was not public to begin with. It came through closed channels, and Kiev did not expect it to become known to a wide circle - but Bat’ka announced the fact early in the morning, at a meeting, after which the Führer had to urgently announce that there was nothing secret in the proposal for such a "pact".

And even more so: What follows is inside information, but consider it a mere fantasy—through the same closed channels Kiev was given to understand that any discussion at all would become possible only if Kiev extradited to Minsk a number of persons that are wanted for or have already been convicted in absentia for terrorism by the courts of the Republic of Belarus. Such a unilateral goodwill gesture, they said in Minsk, may create a favorable background for negotiations. And the other side has understood.

The topic is closed, and RB will reactivate equipment that has been carefully in appropriate places stored for many years, and the very interesting military equipment in Minsk's possession will “not” go anywhere, because Western leaders are very wary of the fact that it is in Bat’ka’s hands. And I think many have noticed that the main "message" of Alexander Grigoryevich is addressed not to Kiev, which does not count, but to Warsaw and Vilna...

Ukraine is unwilling to conclude with Russia a peace agreement similar to the Minsk agreements on settling the conflict in Donbass, which were brokered by Germany and France in 2014 and 2015, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an article published in the US newspaper Politico.

"Some people in the United States and elsewhere in the West continue to recommend that Ukraine enter into negotiations with Russia as soon as possible," the minister wrote in his article. "Partners should force Russia, not Ukraine, to make concessions," he said.
