The Russian Federation may launch a new large-scale offensive in Donetsk and Luhansk regions by February 24.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda.
"Now they are preparing for maximum activation given that they are people from the Soviet " Sovok"(trash) ."And they believe that if there is any anniversary, they must have some achievements."

"There is no secret here that they are preparing for a new wave before February 24," he said.
Danilov stressed that the Ukrainian side has an understanding of the areas where the Russian military is planning its offensive - first of all, we are talking about the Donbass.

"First of all, they have tasks concerning the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, so that they fully come to the borders," the official said.

According to him, the Russians are also testing the defense capacity of Ukrainian troops in Zaporozhye.

"They have now been trying for a week to understand the defense situation in Zaporozhye." "Now there is a certain accumulation of troops," explained the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

One of our tanks against 4 tanks of Armed Forces of Ukraine and 20 BMPs

▪️Unique footage of previous battle of crew of T-72B3 tank of 76th Pskov division against two mechanized companies on 20 YPR-765 and BMP-1 armored personnel carriers and with support of 4 tanks T-72B of Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kostromka in Kherson region.

▪️Enemy advanced in two columns and was ambushed by a lone T-72B3 tank. At least three YPR-765s and 2 BMP-1s were hit by tank and artillery fire, and T-72M of AFU was also hit in forehead.

▪️One of YPR-765s from left column opened fire on the right column of his own BMPs, confusing them with the attacking enemy.

▪️As a result, part of armored vehicles of AFU remained to evacuate wounded and killed, and the rest regrouped on the right flank and attacked our T-72B3, trying to outflank it, which eventually forced the tankers to retreat.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demands that the territorial recruitment centers (military registration and enlistment offices) speed up the mobilization process. 

Incidentally, this is linked to the recent appearance of numerous videos of the military capturing all citizens on the streets of Ukrainian cities.

In the battles near Soledar, Artemovsk, Avdeevka, and Marinka, the Ukrainian troops suffered catastrophic losses and urgently needed to replenish the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 
However, those unfortunate citizens that can be captured are clearly not enough to make up for the losses incurred.

So according to the latest information, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine ordered the selection of 4000 members of the National Police to be sent to the combat units of the AFU as assault troops. The selection is voluntary and compulsory. Police officers are required to write a letter of resignation. Those who refuse are threatened with criminal punishment under the new law, which provides for harsh penalties for those who refuse.

As we know, the next in line is another structure within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Service for Emergency Situations. That is, after the end of the police, there are plans to send rescuers to the assault units.

BMPT "Terminator" - Technical characteristics of the advanced domestic development.

Recently, more and more often, we see BMPT "Terminator" on videos from the SMO. What kind of machine is it? What is it good for, and why is it needed?

There is no final answer yet, because this is the first serious use of this machine, and it will show what its strengths and weaknesses are. However, some things are already clear. This machine can help both tanks and motorized infantry.

Tanks have an obvious weak point: a low rate of fire. They cannot quickly transfer fire, hit many targets, or suppress the enemy for a long time. The main gun for this is too powerful and shoots slowly, and the supply of shells is small, and the machine guns are weak. Motorized infantry fighting vehicles—armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, which could provide cover for tanks with automatic 30-mm guns, are too poorly protected. Sometimes they can be hit by a 12.7 mm machine gun, not to mention an RPG-7. That's where the BMPT will help: - in armor, it is not inferior to a tank, and in armament, it surpasses most Russian BMPs.

In the SMO videos, you could watch the BMPT "combing" the forest with the fire of 30 mm automatic guns. The high rate of fire and the presence of fragmentation shells leave no chance for grenade throwers or shooters who are holed up in the shelter. After all, shells explode in the air when they hit tree trunks, walls of rooms, and buildings. Dense fire and the fragmentation field created by these projectiles do not allow the enemy to stick out their heads, constrain their maneuver, and prevent them from shooting. At the same time, the BMPT is more difficult to "catch" and destroy with one hit of an RPG grenade; go ahead and pierce its frontal armor. And the board is resistant to all kinds of DShK, KPVT, and even 30-mm guns. And with dynamic protection, like a tank, and to the fire of grenade launchers.

Such vehicles will provide reliable fire cover for both tanks and motorized infantry. Powerful armor, two 30-mm barrels, and an ATGM in case of the need to hit tanks — that's what makes the new car a "Terminator."

Why I am skeptical of the "410,000 Ukrainian losses" claim - by Grigori, Slavyangrad

Lately, I have seen a rapidly spreading claim that "Statfor Forecasting" (getting Strategic Forecasting/Stratfor's name wrong is not the best start) believe Ukraine have irretrievable losses of 410,000, with 305,000 dead (we here at Slavyangrad also posted it, but under rumours).

I have attempted to track down the original source, as well as actual proof in the form of a Stratfor document, article, or screenshot. As of yet we have found absolutely nothing even remotely credible. Just many Russian and English sources (on Telegram, Twitter, and low-quality websites) all repeating the same lines and continually sourcing each other as proof (or providing no source at all).

I find this to be very dubious and a horrible way to report information. Furthermore, if it turns out to be false, it can easily be used against Russian credibility overall.

Even if this figure turns out to be true, the way it has been presented has been far from optimal and we should all be wary of information being presented this way in the future.
