Israel carried out a drone strike targeting a defense compound in Iran, as the U.S. and Israel look for new ways to contain Tehran’s nuclear and military ambitions, according to U.S. officials and people familiar with the operation — WSJ Iranian officials…
After yesterday's incidents in Iran's Isfahan, myths began to circulate in the Telegram at an astonishing rate, claiming that Shahed Aviation Industries' industrial facilities had been destroyed, but this was not the case.

Fresh satellite images show that the factory buildings were not damaged, and no traces of damage were seen in the photos. But new assembly halls have been built, which hints at increased drone production by the company.
@milinfolive

So all the information published in the Israeli and American media regarding the so-called "phenomenally successful attacks" on Iranian targets is completely false #fake

Powerful explosion on the Zaporozhye front. The Russian Aerospace Forces are working.

The footage shows a nighttime strike by a tactical air-to-surface Kh-29TD (X-29TD) missile on the positions of the 102nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Malinovka.
An accurate hit of the warhead of a projectile weighing 317 kg raises the stronghold above the ground and provokes a secondary detonation of the enemy's ammunition.

Meanwhile, the Il-76TD (EP-PUS) of the Iranian Air Force made three flights on the Tehran-Moscow route in less than a week, actively delivering something to the Russian capital.

Once again reader asked an extremely important question. I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge. Info for other readers: Gleb will answer some questions in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the opportunity to ask a question. I have an important question that I feel is crucial to this conflict and its resolution. This question has been bothering me for a long time.  Alas, have not been able to find an answer. I feel that the key to this conflict is with the Ukranian people. The war stops tomorrow if Ukranians refuse to fight.  My question is - what is the position of the vast majority of the Ukranians towards Russia now? Pro Russian government was elected in 2014. But how do Ukranians feel NOW after seeing their country destroyed. Judging from the intensity of the conflict and willingness to fight it appears they dont like Russia anymore.  You see captured soldiers from Artemovsk, Zaporozhie , Donbass fighting in the Ukrainain army. How can they fight their brothers?  Even if Russia wins, winning the hearts and minds of the Ukranians will be the key to the everlasting peace and security for Russia. Russia can not win if Ukranians dont accept her. Can the nations be brothers again as Russians claim or everything is lost with this massive destruction? I dont see Russia paying attention to this at all but I might be wrong. The situation of how Ukrainians perceive Russians is very confusing to me. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer

You asked the hardest question so far. SMO put a very ambitious task in front of it. A beautiful idea from the start (quick collapse of Ua) didn't succeed, so we got what we got instead. By changing the nature of conducting an SMO, the consequences of its ending also changed. I bored to death people with that Putin speech before the start of the operation where he emphasized terms of demilitarization and denazification. It didn't work relatively peacefully so we got war instead. Now, mentioned two terms mean to kill or capture. Everyone understands it now. But, unfortunately, that also seals the fate of some peaceful cohabitation in the future for some time after the end of SMO. The conflict became more brutal, with Ukrainians calling Russians hordes, Orcs, barbarians, and Russians Ukrainians swines and whatnot. It became dehumanizing. The number of dead is staggering. That is one minus of winning hearts and minds. And it will only grow. However, in secret, some part of Ukraine's population still supports Russia. But they are a minority. Rest already become victims of this war (by losing friends or family members) and their hate only grows. Some are In fear, some demoralized but some want to fight, for whatever reason (mind you, many of them are forcefully mobilized and they chose between ours and their bullets). After the war, Ukraine will be a ruined, depopulated piece of land with a broken populace that heads mental, emotional, and every other issue we can imagine. Do I expect insurgency? No. Why? Because I think they will have it enough. Those flags in graveyards are ruthless reminders of the cost they paid so far and will pay in the future. Will we be brothers? Hardly, despite some relations among the people are still saved. But when you see mobilization videos from various places and foreseen destiny of the majority of those people, strings will mostly be severed. I can't say forever, but for a very long time at least. What will stop the rebellion of Ukrainians in the future? Unfortunately, In the first place, fear. Generations will pass till Russia can say that Ukraine is loyal. And Russia will have to work very hard to secure that nothing of a sort happens again. We can go into a polemic about how to do that, but my opinion is the end of Ukraine as a nation (which they invented btw) and the term Ukrainian will only be used as a geographical reference. In a sense, civil war is fought here. And history thought us that those types of wars are the bloodiest of all. With all consequences, they brought after.

The masks are off: Czech mercenaries receive state awards from the Czech Defense Minister for their involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

Czech mercenaries brag that their "brother"James "Mac" received a state award personally from Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochova.
The description does not say how many Russians the mercenary killed or what war crimes he was involved in, but we can learn that he lost 60 percent of his hearing during the conflict, and now they are collecting money to buy a hearing aid for the "poor boy."
"He had a decent career." "He helped in Kosovo with KFOR units and was with Czech troops in Afghanistan," the Czech media write about the mercenary.

Transfer of Western aircraft to Ukraine. Actual situation:

🔺️ Defence Minister Reznikov has expressed hope that the West will make a commitment to supply aircraft as soon as possible in the coming weeks;

🔺️ According to Yuriy Ignat, spokesman of the AFU, Ukraine needs at least 180 aircraft to ensure the country's security, and the training of pilots for the F-16s itself will take about six months;

🔺️ At the same time, the US handed over 1/4 of all promised aid for 2023 in January alone. But still huge quantities of ammunition and armoured vehicles are needed, there may simply be no resources left for aircraft.

Question

1) Why can't Russia use it various stealthy aircrafts to destroy Ukraine's air defenses?
2) why can't Russia build unmanned AWACs aircrafts that can conduct 24/7 surveillance of the territory of both Russia and Ukraine?
3) How is it Ukraine still fly fighter jets from airfields?
4) What is the possibility of Russia creating a no fly zone and blockade the entire territory of Ukraine?
Does Russia have the capability to monitor the troops and equipment movement in the entire frontline if not the entire country?
5) How is it that Ukraine informs the entire country of launched of kamikaze drones (Geran-2) from the point of departure to the expected point of arrival but the opposite is with Russia?

Answer

1) There is no perfect stealth aircraft. All NATO machinery is flying around in neighboring states sending data to Ukraine. Air Defence is being suppressed but they are carefully hiding them.

2) I'm not sure if are you aware of the size of the possible area of surveillance

3) They don't fly from airfields mostly but from regular roads (Soviet tactics in case of airfield destruction )

4) No. As long as there are NATO surveillance planes in the air and AA defense is destroyed. Also, Russia is saving its aircraft power, just in case. No country has that capability. Otherwise, Afganistan would be finished quite soon in USA intervention.

5) They have it from NATO planes. And they have no points of departure for Geranium drones but they see them in the air.

Question

What's the chance of conflict escalation in the form of naval blockade, and what scenarios are possible? Thanks for opportunity for ask questions.

Answer

Well, we already saw a similar attempt by Baltic Tiger to close the roads toward Kaliningrad. They gave up on the idea fast. If Tigers alone or with help try to do a similar thing again, a naval blockade, that is equal to a declaration of war. Russia will not allow another Leningrad. So, armed convoys are a must in that case. If attacked...So, if stupid, go ahead.

SAVIOUR OF THE DROWNING ONES

"I have seen such cases in Western Ukraine. An acquaintance who evacuated from Kharkov, she went there because her house was bombed. She took her children and left on an express train, without food.
She arrived in Western Ukraine. She came to the market and said: "Can I have some cottage cheese?" She doesn't speak Ukrainian. They shouted at her, a crowd gathered and said to her: - You're a Muscovite, you're the reason there's a war, etc.
She did not argue, she said: I'm sorry I don't speak Ukrainian. I need to feed my child, he hasn't eaten for two days, he is screaming and is hoarse already." And she was answered: "Not from us."
And what are the chances for such Ukraine?"

Since the popularity of Zelensky's team is creeping down, but the elections are required by US because democracy has to be depicted, I can't stop admiring how technically they mould Arestovich into the 'opposition leader' and the protector of the interests of the slightly less than 100% deceived Russian-speaking population of 'Ukraine'. And they will bite...

Question

If Ukraine were to sign an unconditional surrender now, what kind of demands would Russia impose on Ukraine?
In other words, what would be the perfect outcome for the Russians from this conflict?

Answer

If unconditional surrender is signed, Ukraine is Russia, with a military governor in the beginning. Processing of nazis and their collaborators, processing war criminals, dismantling the previous, and establishing a new ruling apparatus (with already existing people who are not compromised or at least much). Basically. East Germany.
But have no illusion. Russia demands returning to the situation from 1991. This game is much bigger and In the long run then many understand.

Another Ukrainian pilot, the commander of an aviation squadron of the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force, Major Daniil Murashko, has been killed. The Su-25 attack aircraft led by Murashko was shot down by "friendly fire" on 27 January near Kramatorsk.
