The US has no objection to Kiev's strikes on Crimea

The US government has no objection to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine within the 1991 borders, namely on Russian Crimea. This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of Defence Celeste Wallander in response to a journalist's question about whether the USA would support Ukraine in strikes with Western weapons on the territory of the peninsula.

Earlier, the Pentagon said that it would leave it to Kiev to strike Crimea with long-range HIMARS ammunition, whose delivery to Ukraine was recently announced in Washington.

🇷🇺 The first confirmations of new 125mm armor-piercing sub-caliber 3BM60 "Svinets-2" shells in Russian tank ammunition.

Previously only the significantly obsolete 125 mm Mango BOPS, which no longer met the required criteria for modern ammunition, were seen in the service packs of Russian tanks. Now, however, with the introduction of the latest Lead-2 projectiles in the ammunition, Russian tank crews will be able to engage supplied Western tanks in frontal projection from a much greater range.

The 3BM60 "Svinets-2" BOPS has a tungsten core and is used together with the 4Zh96 "Ozon-T" throwing charge as part of the 3VBM23 round, providing an estimated penetration of about 700mm homogeneous steel from two kilometers at the right angles. The 740-mm projectile length, which is practically the limit for Russian-made automatic loaders, is used only in newer tanks like T-90A, T-90M, T-72B3, and T-80BVM.
