Assault units of PMC "Wagner" liberated the village of Krasnaya Gora, in the north of Bakhmut.

The triangle Podgorodnoye-Paraskovievka-Krasnaya Gora is the main knot of defense for the Armed Forces of Ukraine north of Bakhmut: after the capture of Soledar, the enemy managed to pull up reserves and build defenses along the dominant heights.

▪️ PMC detachments managed to enter Paraskoviyivka and Krasnaya Gora a couple of weeks ago, but they managed to squeeze out the Ukrainian garrison only today.

▪️For the last two days, Ukrainian formations have been trying to withdraw units blocked in the settlement: last night they managed to escape towards Paraskoviivka.

▪️Russian assault groups are cleaning up the village and continuing to put pressure on Paraskovievka itself: after taking Krasnaya Gora and the dominant heights, the defenses in the village should crumble in the near future.

🔻Given the already cut highway Bakhmut - Slavyansk, the next task of the PMC will be the capture of Berkhovka and securing the northern outskirts of Bakhmut itself (PMC units have already entered Stupki).

❗️But even if the main highways from Bakhmut to Slavyansk and Chasov Yar are blocked, it is extremely premature to talk about the operational encirclement of the city. Thanks to the network of branched roadways in the fields between the main routes, Ukrainian formations almost unhinderedly transfer reinforcements to the crucible of the Bakhmut meat grinder.

The Head of the IOC criticized political meddling in the issue of Russian and Belarusian athletes' admission to the Olympics 2024; he stated that the mission of the Committee is to unite the people, not to divide them.

Head of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach appealed to politicians not to interfere in the issue of admitting Russian and Belorussian athletes to the Summer Games in Paris. Bach said that if governments start to address the issue of admittance, it could lead to "the end of international sports competitions, world championships, and the Olympic Games as we know them today."

According to Bach, sports' main mission is to unify, not to escalate. Now the IOC is trying to find a solution regarding the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes, and he himself believes that the committee's role is to bring people together.

Recently, more than 35 countries supported Lithuania's idea not to let Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in the Olympics in Paris. Ministers from Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the USA, France, Japan, the Nordic countries, and the Baltic States were among those who agreed with the position of the Baltic country.

Swiss bank Credit Suisse froze 17.6 billion francs' worth of Russian assets.

Credit Suisse has frozen 17.6 billion Swiss francs belonging to the Russian state and private structures. Earlier, it was reported that the Swiss had frozen only 7.5 billion francs ($8 billion); now there has been a revision of the estimates. 
Of this array of funds, only 4 billion francs belong to individuals subject to Swiss sanctions. The rest of the funds belong to individuals and legal entities subject to the sanctions of other hostile states, the newspaper Le Temps reports. These capitals have also been frozen.

Pakistan has reportedly stepped up military supplies to Ukraine via a German port, simultaneously with the Poland route, to transfer rockets for use in multi-barrel rocket launchers — ET

Supplies of rockets were dispatched from the Karachi Port earlier this month and will enter Ukraine via Emden Port in Germany, said the people. More than 10,000 rockets meant for use in Grad multi-barrel rocket launchers have been shipped, they said.

Although Pakistan has been pleading with Russia for discounted oil amid its economic crisis, it has been supplying arms to Ukraine on a regular basis, said one of the persons, who did not wish to be identified.

Karachi-based shipping firm Project Shipping last month facilitated supplies of 146 containers from Pakistan Ordnance Factories, ET had reported. Last month, yet another shipment of 50,000 defence stores was reportedly sent by Pakistan Ordnance Factories via Karachi.
