According to Readovka sources, in the Krasnolimansky direction, the gradual offensive of our troops back to the city, which was lost in autumn under tragic circumstances, is dynamically developing.

For several days, artillery fire has been carried out on important objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - including substations, to cut off power supply - and on the location of the 125th brigade of the territorial defense, recruited in Dnepropetrovsk. On the published footage - it is the former location of this unit, where many soldiers died today. In fact, there are no civilians left in the city - an evacuation was announced last week, and residents are fleeing, fleeing the upcoming battles.

The active work of the artillery of the RF Armed Forces in this direction - both along the Krasny Liman and its suburbs - Yampol and Torsky - is noted both in the briefings of the RF Ministry of Defense and in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Also in recent days, the situation has changed in the neighboring Kupyansk direction. Russian troops recaptured the village of Dvurechnoye, through which the railway passed, and a vector of pressure on Kupyansk from the northeast was designated. There is information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun a hasty strengthening of positions on the right bank of the Oskol River, out of fear of a possible offensive by the RF Armed Forces.

A story of the battles near Ugledar through the eyes of a member of the Storm detachment

Our role in the battles was to capture and clear strongholds. Since the beginning of the offensive on Ugledar, my guys and I were sitting in a captured enemy trench near Nikolskoye in an open field.
We received a command that an offensive was about to begin, where we, in turn, had to wait for and cover the advancing Allied forces. The night before the advance passed more or less peacefully, there were times when the Khokhlys fired at our positions and we fired back, but no more than that. As I remember now, in the morning of the next day the exchange of fire and artillery started, we received the command to cover the offensive and started firing all the guns to suppress it, causing all the attention of the enemy. For half a day Khohol hit us with everything he could: mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, machine guns, and tanks.

Call sign Svyatosha, a medic in the Storm took out four men (I saw it personally, three gunmen and one grenade launcher) with a machine gun. When our tank approached our foxhole and was blown up, this man, not being afraid of being killed, jumped out of the foxhole with his backpack and automatic gun, climbed on the tank, started shooting back, and pulled guys out. After he had saved one of the guys from the tank, he got off, but before he managed to run up to the trench, another shell hit the armor and threw the medic for 15 meters. He recovered and rushed to the tank again, but the third shell hit it and the tank blew up, one of our tankmen died, and the rest - survived. During the fight, he risked his life more than once and helped all wounded soldiers right under the bullets of the enemy, until he was seriously wounded himself. Now he is in the hospital, recuperating.

Our commander, call sign Lev (God rest his soul) commanded the group bravely and valiantly, fought to the last drop of blood, and was wounded several times but continued to fight. At one point one of the shells hit him straight. He died as a warrior.

We had completed our task as a result when all our submachine guns and ammunition ran out - the enemy had attacked us. We held our ground with the leftover grenades and waited for help, who came too late but allowed us to keep our position and collect the wounded.

CHINA National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) is close to finalising a deal to buy liquefied natural gas (LNG) from QatarEnergy over nearly 30 years from the Middle Eastern exporter’s massive North Field expansion project, three people with knowledge of the matter said.

If sealed, this would be the second such deal between major LNG exporter Qatar and the world’s No 2 LNG buyer, as Beijing looks to beef up gas supply and diversify its sources in a drive to replace coal and cut carbon emissions.

CNPC’s talks follow a deal announced last November by China’s Sinopec, in which QatarEnergy agreed to supply 4 million tonnes of LNG annually for 27 years, the longest duration LNG supply contract ever signed by Qatar.
