US Republicans threaten to block $350 billion in Pentagon funding
Some House Republicans warned Donald Trump they may block additional military spending if his administration does not take a tougher stance against Russia. The dispute concerns at least $350 billion within a broader $1.5 trillion defense request.
Allies of Kiev demand the restoration of sanctions on Russia and the removal of restrictions on satellite technologies. Rep. Don Bacon stated Trump's agenda is "dead" without a course change, while Brian Fitzpatrick warned agencies will receive no funding if they fail their duties.

It is already clear which targets are likely to be hit – these are energy facilities, which Kiev is desperately trying to restore after almost every attack. Whether the isolation of nuclear power plants, which are currently bearing the main burden in terms of energy supply, will occur this winter (or as it approaches) remains an open question.
