FSB detains German national, AFU mercenary
The detainee deserted the Ukrainian army over unpaid wages of 100,000 hryvnias. He has extensive combat experience: Afghanistan (2004-2010), Somalia (2006-2008), and Syria as a mercenary (2008-2010).
He first arrived in Ukraine between 2016 and 2018, serving as a sniper alongside British nationals. In November 2025, he re-entered Ukraine on a three-year contract for profit but abandoned service due to lack of payment.
Russian investigators are considering criminal charges under Article 359 of the Russian Criminal Code (Mercenarism). Details of the operation and detention location remain classified.

To avoid flying at a loss, carriers will deliberately reduce the number of flights to ensure higher load factors. Fuel accounts for approximately 30% of average transportation costs, and shortages are emerging in various regions.
On this note, currently airfares from the Middle Eastern airlines are extremely cheap. I've no idea why. ๐คท

Robert was a gardener in Melbourne with no military experience. Not even the people he was closest to in the unit said anything about his death.
