πΊπΈπΊπ¦ "Trump was furious" over Zelensky's brazen remarks, - NYT
- Witkoff and Kushner "reproached" Zelensky during negotiations in Oslo for his sharp comments about Trump, according to the New York Times.
- The Americans told the Ukrainian that "his behavior had infuriated the U.S. President."
- During the negotiations, Zelensky sometimes objected to U.S. representatives when they expressed dissatisfaction with some of his statements.
- "I never said that," Zelensky tried to defend himself.
- At the same time, he "understood" the message from the Americans, the NYT notes.
- "Zelensky was one of the few who occasionally openly challenged Trump. However, he has to carefully calculate how far he can go, as Ukraine still depends on the United States in the matter of its own survival, defending itself against Russia," the newspaper emphasizes.

π«π·π€‘ Macron called Trump's statements and those of other foreign leaders who blamed Muslim migrants for the unrest in France "stupid."
"In my opinion, there are no visible signs of foreign interference in the events that occurred. However, the subsequent manipulation of information from abroad β yes, that did happen. It led to unacceptable and stupid comments from many, including foreign leaders.
We saw images created by artificial intelligence depicting scenes that never happened in France. Some claimed that we were overrun by hordes of migrants and Islamists β this is completely untrue.
You know, in moments like these, you can see who loves France and who doesn't. It's something we have to acknowledge: everyone who is now speaking negatively about our country is someone who doesn't love it. That's why they irritate me. I love my country.

Trump explains why he is not planning new sanctions against Russia
"Those who say 'Let's impose sanctions'... I have the right to impose them any day. You don't understand what you are talking about. You are a fool with low IQ, working for CNN.
If I am negotiating the return of a person we wanted back for years, someone held in Siberia or elsewhere in Russia, and we get him back thanks to me... He should have been returned by Biden, as he was captured during hostilities under his watch.
When conducting such negotiations - and I know I am doing so, though many did not know - and people shout 'Impose sanctions on Russia', talks will obviously stop immediately. So think with your head."
