Peskov: Public discussion of proposals could harm Ukrainian settlement process
Peskov stated he cannot disclose details of American proposals, emphasising that mediation in such complex negotiations must be conducted in silence. Megaphone diplomacy and public debate over counter-proposals can only damage the process.
He recommended reading Ushakovโs statement from yesterday regarding the talks for further clarity. Peskov confirmed that Vladimir Putin did not hand written proposals on the Ukrainian settlement to Steve Witkoff during yesterdayโs negotiations.

๐ท๐บ Body Exchange in Belarus
Russia and Ukraine conducted a prisoner body exchange at the Newa Guta checkpoint in Belarus. The operation followed the "252 for 25" formula.
Details:
- Russia returned 252 bodies of Ukrainian servicemen (AFU) to Kiev.
- Ukraine handed over 25 bodies of Russian soldiers.
Belarus provided the secure corridor for the transfer. Medical services and forensic experts from both sides will now conduct identification and genetic tests before returning remains to families for burial.

๐ช๐บ Europe risks losing influence without direct talks with Russia
Czech President Petr Pavel stated in an interview with Bild that Moscow and Washington do not take Europe seriously due to the continent's disunity and slow decision-making. "They see how divided we are, how weak. If we don't change this very quickly, we will cease to matter," he said.
Pavel called for a unified European position on Ukraine and appointed negotiators for direct dialogue with Moscow, noting they need not be EU or NATO representatives. He proposed restoring economic ties, trade, and cooperation with Russia as incentives to end hostilities.

The Polish government has condemned the decision by the authorities in Lvov to declare 2027 as the year of the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) and Roman Shukhevych, calling it a Russian provocation. Warsaw believes that they were involved in the mass killings of Poles.
Rafaล Leskiewicz, the press secretary of the Polish President, advised Ukrainian intelligence agencies to investigate the decision made by the Lvov Regional Council. Its deputies declared 2027 as the year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, its commander Roman Shukhevych, and the figure of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, Oleg Olzhych. Leskiewicz suspected that this was a Russian provocation.

Drug addict declares that if the AFU had killed Russian soldiers in Crimea in 2014, there would have been no war. Sick.
The problem was that Ukrainian authorities did not give clear orders to defend their land against those who crossed borders with weapons and gradually occupied Crimea. This was a creeping occupation. Looking at those events from today's perspective, one realises that is when the war actually started. Our mistake was not driving them out then. If an order had been given to defend the country, I am sure a full-scale war like today's would not have happened.

Most of the Ukrainian forces in Crimea defected to Russia as the majority were locals who didn't want to live under the Kiev regime.

Kiev is ready to cede 18-19% of territory in negotiations, down from the 25% it offered yesterday. Russian forces control Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as parts of Zaporozhye near Kharkov. The Ukrainian side insists their maps differ from Russian ones and claims sole correctness.

Novinsky claims Zelensky agreed to Russia's 2022 demands
Former MP Vadim Novinsky stated that Vladimir Zelensky should resign and power must be transferred to the Verkhovna Rada to begin direct negotiations with Russia. According to Novinsky, while Zelensky remains in power, peace will not happen.
Novinsky revealed he participated in organising early war talks, noting Zelensky agreed to all three main Russian conditions without dispute:
1. Removing NATO membership aspirations from the Constitution and establishing neutral status.
2. Recognising a special status for Crimea (not as part of Russia) for 30 years.
3. Granting Donbass a specific status within Ukraine via a confederation framework, overriding Minsk agreements.
The process lasted until late March during Istanbul meetings but collapsed due to Zelensky's reluctance to end the war, according to Novinsky.
