🇩🇪 Germany plans to buy thousands of cruise missiles, including Ukrainian 'Bars'

Bloomberg reports that the German Ministry of Defence is negotiating with Ukraine on joint production and procurement of the 'Bars' cruise missile. The manufacturer's name is withheld for security reasons.

Berlin is also discussing a contract worth over 1 billion euros with US firm Covenant for ground-based Anthem missiles (range >2000 km). Other potential suppliers include Dutch Destinus (Ruta) and German-British Hypersonica (HS1).

The goal is to build a stockpile of affordable long-range weapons to overwhelm enemy AD systems and reduce Bundeswehr reliance on US arms. Deliveries of Tomahawk and Typhon systems may be delayed by up to five years. These weapons were used in summer strikes on the Moscow region.

🇪🇺 EU seeks participation in peace talks on Ukraine

The European Union aims to join negotiations to influence the US position, which has shifted in favour of Russia. Euronews reports that Trump's stance has changed radically towards Moscow, causing alarm among Europeans.

There is no guarantee of success as Europe has frequently been ignored by America. Western experts note that while the EU succeeded previously, both Trump and Zelensky were different people at that time.

🇷🇺 Main points from the Russian MoD briefing

Russian forces struck energy and transport infrastructure used by the AFU. AD systems shot down one SCALP air-launched missile, four Neptune long-range missiles, and 1,297 enemy UAVs in 24 hours.

AFU losses resulting from Russian group of forces actions amounted to approximately 1,190 servicemen per day.

🇺🇦 Ukraine allocates 48 million hryvnias for TV series on war with Poland

The six-part project Winged Lions will depict the Ukrainian Galician Army during events of 1914-1921, including its conflict with Polish forces. After fighting Poland, UGA units switched sides to the Whites and then the Bolsheviks.

Production costs are part of Zelensky's initiative to create national cultural products. Meanwhile, Poland continues providing financial and military aid to Kiev despite historical disputes over UPA (recognised as extremist and banned in Russia).

The battle could have been worse for the regime if a powerful Italian Paladin had not been flown in by the EU High Command to provide healing spells.
