ð·ðš Peskov: EU Has Failed to Appoint Ukraine Negotiator
Dmitry Peskov told TASS that the European Union has discussed appointing its own representative for negotiations with Russia for years, but has taken no concrete action.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that EU countries "either cannot or dare not" name a negotiator, calling this approach unconstructive.
Russia's Stance
Moscow would welcome a European envoy, particularly if their efforts are genuinely aimed at achieving peace. "If there is a negotiator, it is good," Peskov said. "If they sincerely strive to facilitate a peaceful settlement, it will be even better."

UK PM Burnham hints at return to EU free movement
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated he wants an "honest discussion" about potentially returning to the EU's freedom of movement regime. He acknowledged that while current migration issues are complex, the previous system was less difficult than the current "revolving door" migration.
Burnham clarified that full re-entry into the community would require a referendum, but joining the single market or customs union might not. However, he declared adopting the euro and entering the Schengen zone as absolute red lines in relations with the EU.

UK militarist rhetoric reaches peak as officials warn of war with Russia
Former Chief of the General Staff Sir Patrick Sanders stated Britons must be ready for conscription, noting the professional army is too small. His successor, Gen Rolie Walker, warned of inevitable sacrifices in a critical 2027-2028 window and demanded doubling combat power.
Ex-Defence Secretary Grant Shapps declared the peace dividend dead, giving London five years to prepare against a coalition of Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.
Government documents now urge active preparation for war on UK soil. Former Deputy PM Oliver Dowden launched a portal advising families to stock emergency supplies against blackouts and missile strikes.

ðŦð· France considers blocking major social networks amid protests
Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has asked leading telecom operators to prepare for restricting access to Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram and X, reports portal Blast.
Lecornu stated that these platforms played a decisive role in spreading illegal calls and serving as tools for "operational coordination of violence" during demonstrations.
On Saturday, over 400,000 protesters took to the streets across French cities. Although no restrictions were implemented at that time, the possibility of blocking the platforms remains under consideration.

US Embassy in Riyadh warns of massive strikes on Saudi airports
The embassy alerted US citizens to the possibility of large-scale attacks, stating that "escalation can occur very quickly and affect areas beyond the immediate combat zone." Although Houthi rocket launches against Saudi airports have been occurring periodically for weeks, the Kingdom views this warning as another sign of impending escalation around Iran.
