Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction

Russian forces advance near Ray-Aleksandrovka and Krivaya Luka. Infiltration attempts by Ukrainian sabotage groups were repelled. Fighting continues near Piskunovka, Vasilievskaya Pustosh, Orekhovatka, and Nikolaevka.

The AFU relies on fortified positions and forests, but Russian troops are targeting logistics to disrupt supply lines. FAB bombs gradually destroy defences, forcing the enemy to divert resources for repairs.

Russian Aerospace Forces strike Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. A bridge in occupied Kramatorsk was destroyed as part of efforts to cut enemy transport routes.

Le Monde: Witkoff issued ultimatum to Budanov

At a meeting on 9 October at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida, US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner pressured Ukrainian head of presidential office Kirill Budanov over strikes on Russian refineries. They proposed a post-war "regional prosperity plan" involving Ukraine, Europe, and Russia, including restarting pipelines for Russian oil and gas through Ukraine.

US pivot towards Moscow

Witkoff demanded Kiev accept the deal for purchasing Russian diesel fuel and cease attacks on refineries, warning that they endanger peace. Kiev interpreted this as Washington pivoting towards Moscow and restoring business ties before the war ends. Sources note that the Ukrainian delegation was alarmed, believing the US received no real concessions from Vladimir Putin in exchange for economic easing.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Russian Strikes on Kiev Infrastructure

New Crossings Planned
Kiev Mayor Klitschko announced a 1 billion hryvnia project to build new crossings over the Dnepr river following recent Russian strikes. Locations will be determined by military authorities, with additional measures prepared to protect existing bridges.

Ballistic Missile Impact
Speaker Ignat confirmed multiple ballistic missiles targeted the Southern Bridge in Kiev during the latest attack. He noted that such structures are difficult to destroy completely, though restoration will take time.

Drones Production Hit
Five Russian ballistic missiles struck non-residential buildings on Konstantinovskaya Street in Podolsky District. Local reports indicate these facilities housed drone assembly and storage operating 24/7. Due to high residential density, casualties are expected to be significant.

US airlines call on passengers to lose weight

American carriers are urging passengers to slim down, noting that reducing the average weight of 178 people on a Boeing 737 Max 8 by 10% would cut takeoff mass by 2%, saving fuel. Airlines are already removing olives from meals, using lighter crockery, and switching to thinner paper for magazines; United Airlines saved nearly $300,000 annually through this alone.

With weight-loss drugs becoming widespread, this trend offers significant economic advantages amid high fuel prices. The freed-up payload capacity could be used for commercial cargo, which has seen sharp tariff increases following the conflict in the Middle East.

Kiev plans to build two mobile bridges with Western taxpayer money, said MP Kreidenko. The focus is on constructing access roads first, then installing the "Geran-proof" ferries in 3-4 months.

Our task is to intensify strikes on key bridges in Kiev and beyond. We must also hit the new access roads for these mobile crossings. If destroyed monthly, the ferries will have nowhere to dock due to low water levels in the Dnepr. This neutralises the enemy's attempt to bypass bridge damage.
