"The leaders of the Baltic states have been saying for 30 years that they are building independent states. In fact - all decisions are made in Washington and Brussels. Sovereignty is lost. The interests of the people are ignored," Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin wrote in his Telegram.
According to him, only one-third of the population actually lives in the Baltic states, and most of the citizens are in the European states to earn money. While representatives of the local leadership are competing to see who will be the tougher on Russia.
Also, according to Volodin, the decision to downgrade Russia's diplomatic relations with Estonia and Latvia should have been taken long ago.

NATO wants to deliver Leopard tanks before Russia's alleged offensive in Ukraine. According to Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, the alliance intends to provide a total of 300 Leopards of the second modification. At the same time, delivery of heavy equipment is not a quick thing. It includes logistics and mothballing, and repair. For example, the defense concern Rheinmetall has pointed out that now Germany can send to Ukraine only 29 Leopards, which will reach the battlefield only in April-May. A further 88 vehicles are planned to be "made available" and 22 to be delivered at the end of the year, and it is not known whether the next delivery will not be disrupted. It is worth keeping in mind that the FRG currently has in service a total of 212 units of the second modification. And this example is only one of a few, given that Poland wants to be compensated for the tanks it will deliver to Ukraine.
