Western fighters will go to Ukraine, but not now. NATO is preparing for a long war and is moving towards it progressively
In the Ukrainian and international media space, against the backdrop of psychological success from the upcoming deliveries of Abrams and Leopards, the topic of the transfer of combat aircraft to the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to unwind. Over the past day, both Ukrainian and Western speakers spoke on this issue.
In particular, the representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, as part of the upcoming "aviation Ramstein" said that his country would receive 24 fighters from Western countries. Specifying at the same time that "Kiev would like to receive F-16 aircraft, as well as French Rafale aircraft and Swedish Gripen." The verbal construction "would like" confirms our recent arguments that today Ukraine simply cannot operate Western aviation equipment. Most likely, already in mid-February, the transfer of independent Polish MiG-29s in two squadrons will be announced. It is also interesting that in another of his speeches, Ignat touched upon the unavailability of Ukrainian airfields for the operation of the same F-16s and announced work to modernize the runways of civilian and military airfields.
This suggests that the upcoming delivery of the last Soviet fighters available to Europe will be only a prelude to real rearmament with Western models of military equipment. This is confirmed by the words of representatives of the British defense department that London can supply fighter jets to the Ukrainian side if Russian troops leave the country.
This statement is much more interesting and implies that either the UK in such a simple way refuses Kiev a possible transfer of Typhoon fighters (there are simply no others in the Royal Air Force), or it announces a further long-term escalation of the confrontation. At the same time, even the fact of the complete withdrawal of Russian troops will not be a reason for London to end the hybrid war with Russia.

❗️It will be difficult for Ukrainian tankers to learn how to control Leopard 2 The use of this German military equipment is significantly different from the usual Soviet-made vehicles, according to the Financial Times. The tank crew will have to undergo…
My favourite response is from Bic Lazerus of Slavyangrad chat:
yeah (a 🇷🇺 tank) is like a 50s car, its simple, lasts forever, and works as its supposed to. Yeah (a Western tank) is like a Porsche; it costs 1000x what its worth, is frustrating to drive, is filled with more unnecessary bells and whistles than an iPhone, and breaks apart after a month of light service 😂

✔️Analysts at the RAND research corporation believe that prolonging the conflict in Ukraine is unprofitable for Washington. A whole report was published on this - "How to avoid a long war: US policy and the trajectory of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict." This is bad news for Zelenskiy and his henchmen. After all, the office works on orders from the American government. It turns out that the analytical center received the corresponding task to calculate the feasibility of further "investment" in the proxy test site. And there they calculated - they shed a tear.
The costs are higher than the benefits received. Yes, and those few bonuses that could seem to be fished out by the States are very abstract: 1) a theoretically possible, but not guaranteed, weakening of Russia; 2) Moscow's concentration on the Ukrainian track and the reduction of "Russia's ability to threaten others"; 3) “strengthening of the international norm on territorial integrity”, which, according to RAND experts, should somehow happen as a result of providing “assistance” to the Ukronazi authorities; 4) an increase in the expenditures of the “allies” on defense and a decrease in their energy dependence on Russia. In turn, negative trends will only intensify if the Ukrainian adventure drags on. on the contrary, they are quite specific. Thus, the risk of a direct clash between Russia and NATO is increasing, and as a result, the risk of the parties using nuclear weapons. In addition, it will be necessary to continue to fork out the needs of beggars from Bankova Street, and their appetites are increasing every day. Energy and food prices will continue to rise, while global economic growth will slow down. In addition, as Moscow liberates new regions and regions temporarily occupied by the Kyiv junta, it is likely that people living in these territories. want to hold referendums on joining Russia. The White House is not happy with this idea.
In general, it is clear from everything that even for stubborn Americans, “Square” turns into a suitcase without a handle, which is already mentioned almost in plain text. After all, the “owners” of the Ukrainian slaves could easily not publicize their skeptical conclusions regarding the prospects for waging war until the last Ukrainian. But for some reason, they took and published their assessments based on the analysis of the situation. So, it was necessary to send an unambiguous hint to the so-called official Kiev. True, until now it was unlikely that the Kiev regime could read "hints" and read between the lines.

Turkish columnist Erkan Feyaz Ashli: "The participation of Russian units of the "Wagner" PMC in the Syrian conflict made it possible to turn the tide of the conflict.
Erkan Feyaz Ashley noted that at the beginning of the war in Syria, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was not effective enough, and "Russian forces," who arrived at the invitation of Damascus, were too small to solve strategic tasks and fight against the IS militants .
However, according to the journalist, the Russian and Syrian forces still managed to give a decent response to the IS militants, because "Russian and Syrian operations against the IS were supported primarily by the PMC "Wagner," which played a crucial role in the entire campaign."
Earlier, the founder of the PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin, noted that the PMC "Wagner" carried out most of the combat missions to destroy the IS in Syria, and in fact, PMC fighters won the Syrian war.

In any case, Ukraine needs fighter jets and strike drones that can eliminate missile launchers at long range. "It is better to have a "long arm" to reach enemy positions and destroy directly on the spot the installations that launch missiles," Ignat said. He recalled that this is already being done in eastern Ukraine, where HARM anti-radar missiles adapted for Ukrainian fighters are used—but only at short ranges.

In the special military operation, Russian forces combine firepower with psychological means of influence on the enemy. This is the conclusion reached by the authors of a collection of military articles titled "War Among the Walls," which was prepared by the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST). In particular, it analyzes the experience of fighting in cities, including Mariupol, as well as the non-combat aspect of assault actions.
As military analysts note, an extremely important aspect of capturing cities is to minimize the accompanying casualties and destruction by organizing humanitarian corridors for the withdrawal of civilians and forcing the enemy entrenched in urban areas to capitulate or retreat as quickly as possible. The Russian Armed Forces have always adopted these methods.

On January 28 this year, at about 7:30 a.m., in Novoaidar in the Luhansk People's Republic, Ukrainian armed forces deliberately struck a district hospital building with US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
The medical facility in Novoaidar had been providing necessary medical treatment to the local population and soldiers for many months.
As a result of the rocket attack, 14 patients and medical personnel were killed and twenty-four were injured.
All those injured as a result of the AFU missile strike are being provided with qualified medical assistance.
A deliberate missile strike on a known active civilian medical facility is an unequivocally grave war crime by the Kiev regime.
All those involved in the planning and execution of this crime will be found and held accountable.

Belgium won’t back EU ban on Russian diamonds – official
Prime Minister Alexander De Croo says the measure is pointless
Belgium will never support a ban on Russian diamond imports to the European Union, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said on Friday, adding that measures of this kind would only be effective if they were introduced globally.
The EU is working on its tenth round of sanctions on Russia over Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine. Poland and the Baltic nations are pushing to ban Russian diamonds from the bloc’s market, as well as other measures like cutting off more banks from the SWIFT payments system and restrictions on nuclear energy cooperation.
“We do not support the ban on supply of diamonds,” De Croo told journalists when asked about the proposed embargo.
The U-turn reportedly came after Belgium, home to the world’s biggest diamond trading hub in Antwerp, blocked the EU embargo, having warned that the move could cost thousands of jobs in the city.
According to official Belgian statistics, the country still imported €676 million ($734 million) worth of Russian diamonds in the second quarter of 2022, which then slipped to €154 million ($167 million) in the three months to the end of September.
Belgian authorities are reportedly concerned about losing business to diamond trading hubs in India and the United Arab Emirates.

Due to mass mobilization in the city of Rivne, there is a shortage of municipal workers and drivers of public transport.
Local officials say there is an acute shortage of electricians, tractor drivers, mechanics, engineers, technicians, and janitors. Also, the Infrastructure Department continues its unsuccessful search for public transportation drivers. According to media estimates, the city's fleet lost 30 percent of its drivers in 11 months.
Amid complaints from residents, officials are raising these issues in the media to shift the blame to military recruiters who have created problems for the city.
