Heh. Here's the thing. Balloons like this fly very high. In the stratosphere.

They hardly reflect radio signal, therefore nobody's antiaircraft missiles with radar guidance have ever shot down anything of the sort. The aerostats, they don't give a shit at a gun's rounds, as they have a honeycomb structure and need a special anti-aerostatic shell, which has an oversensitive fuse capable of being ignited from contact with the thin of the air balloon shell.

And their presence on aircraft is highly questionable. In USSR for destroying of aerostats special planes were allocated, and special launchers with special armament were developed.

Well, the most effective (and essentially the only) method remains the attack using infra-red self-guided missiles in an attempt to capture the sun-heated side of the balloon.

All the talk about the Americans not wanting to shoot it down is nonsense, of course. They can't. They simply cannot.

Either gringo aircraft armament specs don't allow it or the skill of the pilots don't permit it.

But once again. Aerostats—they are very difficult targets. And had the ordinary US citizens not seen this Chinese probe, the Pentagon would have pretend it never happened.

Now try to break it down and explain how the premier army on the planet can't shoot down an enemy balloon over their own country. 😁

Today the Smolensk and Bryansk infantry assault units stealthily approaching the forward positions of the Ukrainian army, in a short lightning attack that destroyed enemy personnel and seized trophies. It is noteworthy that those killed were mostly natives of the Lvov region.

Overall, the Ukrainians, which had lost a large number of personnel in previous days, took no attack or counterattack action for the first time in a long time.

The Ukrainian armed forces continue to actively fire artillery systems of various types. I would like to praise once again the work of our artillery. Under the guidance of Special Forces units, our artillery has recently begun striking enemy rear areas, ammunition supply routes and personnel supply routes more frequently. In this way, we are gradually approaching the tactic of isolating combat areas, the necessity of which I never tire of repeating.

For a successful offensive it is first of all necessary to deprive the defending AFU units of the means of resistance and the ability to rotate personnel. After that, it will be much easier to carry out the assigned tasks.

There has been NO withdrawal of Ukrainian troops—en masse—from Artyomovsk (Bakhmut). The Russian Army (Wagner PMC units) have entered the Stupki district of Artyomovsk. This is a significant advance, but not the collapse of the Ukrainian defence. Listen to @Slavyangrad. Don't rush the events.

Unique footage: the video shows the ejection of the crew of a Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter, which was shot down at the beginning of the war. 

At 0:15, we see the beginning of the operation of the attack helicopter's jet-ejection system. The crew survived and continues to fight. The Ka-52 is the world's only helicopter with an ejection system that has also been battle-tested.
