By morning, the Wagnerians continue fighting north of Bakhmut: assault actions in Paraskoviyivka and Krasna Hora. In addition, using a bridgehead in the liberated Blagodatnoye, they are pressing on the town to the west to half-encircle the enemy.
In the northern part of Bakhmut, the stormtroopers are entrenched in 1st Ushakov Lane. Pressure on the Stupka area from the direction of Podgorodne.
ㅤ
In the northeastern and eastern parts of the city, the "musicians" have leveled the front on Selkorivska street, and are sectorally mopping up on Chernyshevskogo and Dobroliubova streets.
Street fighting in the south of Bakhmut - Sobachevka district and towards Budyonovka district.
Southwest of Bakhmut, clashes near the village of Krasnoye and advancing towards the T0504 highway.

Three Azov Nazis were liquidated near Artemovsk (Bakhmut)
The average of those who will no longer be able to commit crimes and shoot civilians turned out to be:
- Vladimir Vaskovsky, call sign "Sagaidak" - became a member of Azov in the autumn of 2022.
- Aleksandr Padalka, call sign "Vinnie" - was the driver of an obsolete American BMP M113.
- Mykola Siruk, call sign "Sova - Owl " - was eliminated as soon as he arrived in the city.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Russsian troops move towards Seversk
In addition to the advance in the Liman direction, the advance in the Seversk direction near Belogorovka was reported yesterday.
According to some estimates, the front has been pushed back several kilometers. If further success is achieved, the battle will be fought for Seversk, which is now being approached from three directions: army units from the east (Belogorovka) and south-east (Spornoye and Zolotarevka) and Vagner units from the south (Razdolovka and Veseloye).

Fields of Ugledar
A video from the 40th Brigade of Marine Corps about the realities and terrain in which operations are being carried out to clean up Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar.
There is nothing special or secret in this tactic: after the work of the artillery, assault groups on infantry fighting vehicles under the cover of tanks are advanced to the alleged positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a rule, one tank goes ahead, and a couple of others monitor the situation and cover it with fire from the flanks. Passing along the landing, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, upon correction from a drone, preemptively open fire on all suspicious bushes, pits, and trenches, gradually disembarking infantry, which clears positions and consolidates on them. Here, the undoubted advantage of the BMP-3 is manifested in the presence of a 100-mm gun, which allows you to shoot enemy positions point-blank almost on par with tanks.
There are a huge number of such landings along the fields, you need to methodically clear them, and then gain a foothold in each of them. It is characteristic that enemy soldiers in positions often do not have enough anti-tank weapons, and therefore, at the sight of armored vehicles, they are often frightened, hide in dugouts or even retreat.
The main threat in such battles is posed by well-coordinated enemy artillery fire and abundant minefields. Pay attention to how the infantry fighting vehicles move in the wake of the lead tank with the trawl.

Briefly on the situation on the Svatovo-Kremenna front line. The area of responsibility of the 144th motorized infantry division.
On the whole, the day was relatively quiet, except for the mutual counter-battery fighting. Also, our aviation worked on the positions of the AFU.
The enemy took no active action today, except for an incomprehensible sortie by a band of Zhovto-Blakite kamikazes, numbering up to 12 people. Of course, the "Slava Ukrainians" were sent to their deaths by the dense machine gun fire of the guys from the 488 MSP.
In the morning, the tankers of the 254 MPS with a direct hit destroyed the stronghold of the Khokhlos, which in the end became a mass grave for 9 Ukrainian soldiers.
In addition, our valiant air defense system worked several times to cover the sky from Ukrainian missiles.

"Vedomosti: "The president's address to the Federal Assembly is likely to take place on 20-22 February, three high-ranking parliamentarians said. Two other Duma interlocutors gave Vedomosti the same date span. True, the date for the address has not yet been officially announced to either MPs or senators.
The source drew attention to President Putin's busy schedule, starting on February 22 and ending on a weekend in connection with Defender of the Fatherland Day. Therefore, it would have been more logical to deliver the message before that.
According to another official, he has heard of preparations to deliver the address on the 20s of February. According to another high-ranking government official, the message will be delivered on the 20th or 21st. At any rate, he told Vedomosti, "the probability is very high.
A source close to the presidential administration says that the "tentative date" for the address is February 21, but the final decision will be made on Friday, February 10. Another source close to the AP knows that this very date is being discussed on Staraya Square.

Japan wants to conclude a peace treaty with Russia - after 77 years it has realized that its absence is unfortunate
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Japan wants to conclude a peace treaty with Russia because its absence almost 80 years after the end of World War II is regrettable. He said this at a rally for the return of the Russian part of the Kuril Islands.
"Japanese-Russian relations are currently in a difficult situation due to Russia's aggression in Ukraine. However, the Japanese government is determined to resolve the territorial issue and conclude a peace treaty," Kishida said.

Russia's attacks in Ukraine have "expanded and intensified" ahead of what could be "the Kremlin's biggest offensive since the early weeks of the war". The New York Times says so.
The paper reports that Russia is now deploying hundreds of thousands of mobilized soldiers. They are operating in small groups to explore vulnerabilities in Ukrainian defensive lines. "This has forced Ukraine to strain its forces to repel the threat," the article reports.
It remains unclear where and when Moscow will launch a large-scale offensive. But Ukrainian authorities say tens of thousands of mobilized soldiers have been sent to northeastern and south-eastern Ukraine.
On the northern flank of the "crescent" (as the front line in the east of the country looks like) the tensest area is Kremenna, the town where the Ukrainian counter-offensive stalled in September. And it is now one of the areas where, according to Ukrainian officials, Moscow is gathering troops for a new offensive.
At the southern end of the crescent, near the town of Ugledar, Ukraine said Russian attacks had been repelled. But officials have warned that tens of thousands of Russian soldiers have been moved into the region and may be gathering for a more coordinated offensive.

Russia is overhauling bomb shelters amid the war in Ukraine, the Moscow Times has said.
The repairs are carried out in line with the Kremlin's order to modernize the infrastructure left over from the Soviet times, the newspaper said, citing former and current officials in Moscow.
Sources say that the repairs started after the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and will continue this year.
Local authorities are "spending hundreds of millions of roubles" to make mothballed premises that have been in conservation for years livable.
"The decision to inspect the bomb shelter network was taken by the government in the spring. The command for a large-scale inspection and clean-up was given by the Emergencies Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, and [other] civilian ministries," the Russian official said, referring to government meetings on the issue.
One of the conclusions of the nationwide inspections appeared to be that the country did not have enough bomb shelters to serve its current population, the paper said.

Leopard: a beast in words but just an Olaf Scholz in deeds, or how Ukrainian crews are kept expecting a miracle.
After the summit of NATO member states in Germany's Ramstein, many prominent players of the North Atlantic Alliance claimed at the end of January that they were ready to supply Ukraine with their tanks.
On 24 January, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany would transfer 102 Leopard tanks to the Ukrainian armed forces. But there is a big "BUT" in this message. In this armada of tanks, only 14 are acceptable for use in modern combat operations, this is the tank company, which, according to Berlin, will change the "terms of the game". The remaining 88 tanks are the Leopard 1 tanks, already obsolete in the 80s, adopted by the Bundeswehr in the mid-60s, which even at that time were considered a "questionable achievement" of the military-industrial complex. After all, the artillery armament of the first series of Leopards, represented by a 105 mm gun from Rheinmetall, already at that time did not meet the requirements of "modern tank combat".
It is important to mention that Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 are completely different vehicles. It's not only in artillery equipment but also in running characteristics. But the most important gap between these two "cats" was the armor. Leopard 1 already in the 60s became famous as a machine that is not able to withstand even shaped charge ammunition, we are not even talking about sub-caliber ammunition.
In the end, Ukrainian tank builders only ride on pathetic promises and guarantee that "everything will happen". And even if it does, only armored vehicle museums can rejoice.
But the AFU can take solace in the fact that Canada sent one of the four promised "Leopards" of the A4 model on February 5. But don't wait for reports on their successful use, as the vehicles made their "debut" by exploding their ammunition while Turkish units were fighting ISIS (an organization banned in Russia) militants in Al Baba, Syria, in the fall of 2016.
