The production of KF51 Panther tanks will begin no earlier than 2025, respectively, they will be able to transfer them to Kiev only in 2029. Candidate of Military Sciences Anatoly Matviychuk announced this to the channel “Go and See” .

Previously it was reported that Ukraine is negotiating with Germany on the possible supply of KF51 Panther tanks.

💬 “This is the tank that should replace the Leopard 2, but its production may not begin until 2025. This is a project. A wooden blank, but there is no metal yet, ”the expert said.

According to him, the project for the production of KF51 Panther tanks is scheduled for 2025.

💬“But deliveries may not be until 2029. They can supply a limited number of tanks, say, ten units, under pressure from NATO, but these tanks will not be anything, ” Matviychuk emphasized.

Even if Kiev collects 300-400 tanks from the West, this will not change anything, he noted.

Fierce fighting continues in and around Bakhmut (Artemovsk). Units of the Wagner PMCs and separate formations of the Russian Armed Forces are actively pushing through the AFU defense.

To the northeast of Bakhmut, assault units advanced deep into the Ukrainian armed forces' fortification system north of Paraskoviyivka and stormed the fortifications around the village. Russian Armed Forces fighters have now approached the Bakhmut-Sloviansk highway.

The situation in Bakhmut itself is critical. According to members of the Ukrainian formations, one of the brigades defending the city has completely lost its combat effectiveness. The survivors are being distributed to other formations.

To the southwest of Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC assault units advanced south of Krasnyy and approached the dacha areas of the suburbs.

According to Ukrainian formations, the Wagner units approached the village of Stupochki, squeezing out the Ukrainian armed forces from their strongholds in the vicinity. Fighting continues in the populated area, with the AFU suffering heavy losses, including in the command element. A large part of the forces are leaving their positions in Stupochki and Chasov Yar due to unpreparedness to defend themselves.

EU Urged to Make Banks Report Size of Frozen Russian Assets— Bloomberg

The European Union should consider requiring banks to report details on the value of frozen Russian central bank assets if it wants to use sanctioned funds to help pay for Ukraine’s reconstruction, according to the bloc’s lawyers. 

The EU’s legal service said the bloc’s laws would permit it to invest the frozen assets and use the proceeds to help Kyiv, but officials must first get a handle on the scale of central bank and other sanctioned state-backed assets that have been immobilized, according to a document shared this week with member states as leaders met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Brussels.
