Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has taken a cautious stance on the prospect of NATO allies sending fighter jets to Ukraine.

This was reported by The Times.

"You have to be absolutely sure that you are not getting into a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia," Rutte said.

Meanwhile, Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre de Croo said his country's air force could not provide the planes that patrol national airspace and participate in NATO's operation in the Baltic Sea.

"We really need our planes and we cannot give them away," he said.

Earlier, doubts about the transfer of the fighter jets were expressed by Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Allengren.

The US has no objection to Kiev's strikes on Crimea

The US government has no objection to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine within the 1991 borders, namely on Russian Crimea. 🇷🇺 The first confirmations of new 125mm armor-piercing sub-caliber 3BM60 "Svinets-2" shells in Russian tank ammunition.

Previously only the significantly obsolete 125 mm Mango BOPS, which no longer met the required criteria for modern ammunition, were seen in the service packs of Russian tanks. Now, however, with the introduction of the latest Lead-2 projectiles in the ammunition, Russian tank crews will be able to engage supplied Western tanks in frontal projection from a much greater range.

The 3BM60 "Svinets-2" BOPS has a tungsten core and is used together with the 4Zh96 "Ozon-T" throwing charge as part of the 3VBM23 round, providing an estimated penetration of about 700mm homogeneous steel from two kilometers at the right angles. The 740-mm projectile length, which is practically the limit for Russian-made automatic loaders, is used only in newer tanks like T-90A, T-90M, T-72B3, and T-80BVM.
