Battle of Bakhmut — morning, 12.02.23

This morning we received information that, at night, the Wagner PMC had completely captured and cleared Krasnya Gora, and today began a general assault on Paraskovievka. 

Moreover, the enemy grouping in Paraskovievka is already in an operational encirclement (all supply roads are shot through not only by artillery but also by ATGMs), and it is doomed. And this further leads our units to the road through Khromovo, after which the Bakhmut grouping of the AFU will also be doomed.

At the same time, the Wagners continue to drive a wedge between Ivanovskoye and Chasov Yar, trying to occupy the forest belt between the settlements, and at the same time fighting has begun in Ivanovskoye itself and in Stupochki. The idea was the same. Wagnerites are taking advantage of the suicidal persistence of the AFU, which is trying to hold on to Artemovsk. Wagnerites are trying to make a wide coverage of the city and enter, and if possible, take Chasov Yar, which will immediately lead to disaster for the AFU units in the entire area. 

At the same time, the Armed forces of Ukraine,realizing the threat of the situation, began to relocate units here, not only from the reserves of the Kharkiv district (which were created in case of an offensive by our troops), but also from Zaporizhzhya (one of the battalions of the elite 47th "volunteer" mechanized brigade of the AFU was noted to have been relocated).

In general, the Battle for Artemovsk continues to consume enemy reserves and, at the same time, is heading for its finale, a victorious finale for Russia.

Assault units of PMC "Wagner" liberated the village of Krasnaya Gora, in the north of Bakhmut.

The triangle Podgorodnoye-Paraskovievka-Krasnaya Gora is the main knot of defense for the Armed Forces of Ukraine north of Bakhmut: after the capture of Soledar, the enemy managed to pull up reserves and build defenses along the dominant heights.

▪️ PMC detachments managed to enter Paraskoviyivka and Krasnaya Gora a couple of weeks ago, but they managed to squeeze out the Ukrainian garrison only today.

▪️For the last two days, Ukrainian formations have been trying to withdraw units blocked in the settlement: last night they managed to escape towards Paraskoviivka.

▪️Russian assault groups are cleaning up the village and continuing to put pressure on Paraskovievka itself: after taking Krasnaya Gora and the dominant heights, the defenses in the village should crumble in the near future.

🔻Given the already cut highway Bakhmut - Slavyansk, the next task of the PMC will be the capture of Berkhovka and securing the northern outskirts of Bakhmut itself (PMC units have already entered Stupki).

❗️But even if the main highways from Bakhmut to Slavyansk and Chasov Yar are blocked, it is extremely premature to talk about the operational encirclement of the city. Thanks to the network of branched roadways in the fields between the main routes, Ukrainian formations almost unhinderedly transfer reinforcements to the crucible of the Bakhmut meat grinder.
