I've made a video about how Telegram comments are REPLIES in a CONNECTED GROUP.

Watch here: https://youtu.be/AzT9o0KstAo

These are I think the most illuminating screenshots from the video. From left to right: the channel post, eight comments, eight replies in the connected group.

This might be the easiest way to see and understand that there are in fact no such thing as channel comments. Channel comments are a threaded discussion view of REPLIES in the connected group.

Once understood it's a pretty simple comment solution that has some interesting benifits.

YouTube has new pop-out cards on the desktop site.

What do you think?

Not sure how new (or useful) this is, but you can now search a person's tweets from their Twitter profile.

Introducing: Twitter Reply downvotes

[ Privately downvote low value replies. ]

Nice idea, but will Twitter users take action frequently enough to provide useable data.

Will I? πŸ€” - Will you?

YouTube's videos descriptions have moved

This may be an A/B test, but I'm seeing (on the Youtube desktop site) video description no longer expanding below thge video, but are now displayed to the right.

When the decription is long enough there is an aditional "More" button to expand the decription box further.

I understand the logic of this as the viewer can read the description while the video plays in place, but it feels to me like it's less connected to the videi itself.

Are you seeing this on desktop too?
Whay do you think?

Twitter Communities

This seems like a pretty new Twitter feature.

Are you using Twitter communities?

Instagram Favourites

"Today, we’re introducing Favorites and Following, two new ways to choose what you see in your feed."

My view: A half baked power user feature.

A maximum of fifty accounts can be favourited. That's an abitrarily low numer for power users, who are (mostly) the only users that will use this feature.

Your thoughts?

Had you heard of Twitter Circle before?

Twitter Communities now have separate hashtag pages.

A strange move? From the platform where hashtags started, community hashtags only return results from within the community.

This is how hashtags work in Telegram channels and groups.

Maybe useful for large groups in the future, but also reliant on user behaviour. Useful or not?

Twitter - Leave this conversation

This feature started rolling out earlier this month. This is the first time I've personally used it.

Who sees REPLIES to Twitter Circle tweets?

It's not clear to me who sees replies to Twitter Circle tweets. Are they like replies to protected tweets, which are public (when the accounts tweets are public). Or do replies to a Twitter Circle tweet have the same visibility applied as the Twitter Circle tweet?

I guess I could test this, but does anyone already know?

#Twitter #Discussion
It wasn't clear to me previously, nor does it state on Twitter's Circle help page, but the same visibility is applied to replies.
