Not interested in Topics thanks Twitter π
I recently switched to the "Home" timeline from "Latest", because that is the only timeline eligable for delivery of Community tweets.
Sometime afterwards my timeline was fourteen tweets from suggested topics. The first of which was a topic I had already clicked "Not interested" on.
After that lot, there was a tweet from a list, which I do follow, then an Advert, then another Topic suggestion and finally a tweet from an account I actually follow.
Is anyone happy with Twitter's algorithmic suggestions?

This feature started rolling out earlier this month. This is the first time I've personally used it.

Have a hashtag in your Instagram bio?
If you want it to be a clickable link both in the mobile App and on the webapp you will need to use all lower case.
People often use Camel case for hashtags to make them more readable, but if you do so for hashtags in you Instagram bio the hashtag will NOT be clickable on your profile when viewed using a web browser.
Most people are not aware of this because they use Instagram just with the mobile App.

Twitter is working on adding audio "Spaces" to Communities.
Sounds like Admin only. Hopefully the admin will be able to also divvy out this option for moderators too. Otherwise it'll have pretty sparse usage I feel.

What public Telegram channels (with comments activated), do you subscribe to?
I'm interested specifically in seeing ones which have good engagement levels.
Obviously I'd prefer to see ones not related to bitcoin or sex etc.
Know any? Share in the comments!

Twitter Circle now available for all users.
Add up to 150 user and tweet just to them.
Thoughts?

Visibility, for your Twitter Circle tweets, is retroactive.
Meanig any new account you add to your Twitter Circle can see any / all past tweets you have published to your Circle.

"Twitter Circle is a way to send tweets to select people ..."
No. No it's not. It's a way to share tweets with a select group of people.
"Send" implies a tweet is sent-to a person, perhaps alerting that person that they have received a message.
"Share with" would be better. No?

What has Instagram got against capitalisation? π€·ββοΈ
I dunno, but if you have any hashtags in your bio or link to a hashtag results page anywhere on the web, then you should be aware that Instagram does not play well with capitalisation.
Any link to a hashtag page with a capital in the URL will return a not found / error page when being accessed on the web.
Example:
......explore/tags/MyEhrenfeld
Will fail in a browser.
......explore/tags/myehrenfeld
Will work in a browser.
I guess it's not a huge issue for most people, just an irritation for those this might affect.
Any idea why Instagram hates capitalisation?

Who to add to your Twitter Circle π€
Twitter gave all Twitter users access to Twittter Circle at the end of August. You can add up to 150 accounts to your Circle. And when you share a tweet with your Circle only those accounts can see it or respond.
Sounds simple right?
But think a little deeper: you can add any account to your Circle: but unless they are following you what's the point?
Your Circle tweets are private, if people aren't following YOU then these private (non-public) tweets will not be in their Twitter stream, so there's practically zero channce that they will ever see these private tweets.
Should you add your "friends" to your Circle?
Well again, uless they follow you and are a very active Twitter user what would be the point?
There is no notification, "X has shared a private Tweet with you". How are these private tweets ever going to be seen?
Maybe, if you are wanting to use Twitter's Circle feature, you should consider. pinning your first Circle tweet to the top of your profile and then add all your future Circle tweets as part of one long private thread ..... That way at least. people in your Circle have some chance of seeing these private tweets. If, they happen to visit your Twitter profile.
For me it's hard to see a clear use case for Twitter's Circle feature. It seems poorley thought out. The only thing Twitter seems to have thought clearly about is the concious removal of analytics for Circle tweets. So it's impossible to have any understanding as to whether any of the people in your Twitter Circle have seen any of your private Tweets π€·ββοΈ

Curretly Instagram hashtag pages, on web, are only showing a three-by-three grid of the "top posts" tagged with that hashtag.
Not sure if this has anything to do with yesterday's issues. It'll probably be a while before anyone else notices π€·ββοΈ

WTF YouTube?!
Not sure why YouTube thinks when a user clicks or taps on a hashtag that they want to see completely unrelated search results π€·ββοΈ
Google's ability to be really dumb is often surprising.
EDIT: I've take a closer look and it seems that YouTube has completely given up on hashtag pages. If this was communicated anywhere please link me to it. Thanks
EDIT 2: Some hashtags go to the hashtag page. Some, it seems like most, redirect to a search page.
