Telegram Channel posts and Comments - 1 2 3
What you need to know about Telegram's channel comments I'll use three screenshots to explain (from the outside) how Telegram's native channel comments work. 1: A Telegram channel post A screen shot of this post. Note how the channel name "MyEhrenfeld" appearsโฆ
Strategy - Serve your audience
I've worked for Ford Europe for over a decade. As such my focus has always been on Ford's markets within Europe.
I recognise though that people who view communications I've posted on behalf of Ford Europe are also seen by people outside of Europe. What about them?
Although those people are not "my intended audience" they can still engage with Ford Europe. So I also strategically direct those people somewhere (fingers crossed) which is relevant to them.
Nearly 60% of those who have clicked on Ford.to/Ford (link used in FordEU's bio) were from the USA, so they are directed to Ford.com (The US site).
Elsewhere (outside of Europe) users are directed to Google News: ford.to/EUnews where Ford Europe's articles and video content is available.
Within Europe "my users" go to the relevant Ford national web portal.
The point I am trying to make is that there is a balance between what you want, which might be visits to a web page for example, and what is more appropriate for the viewer.
A good strategy in my opinion, serves your goals, but not at the expense of other users.
So although 70% of users have not been directed to "my destinations" I can still hope to have served them well.

Have you seen the CLIP icon on YouTube?
The clip feature is currently in limited alpha, so you will not see this on that many videos yet.
When you do clips look like this.
It will be interesting to see where this goes.
Thoughts?

Twitter homepage - Feb 2021
I don't see the homepage often, as I'm usually logged in. It's interesting to note changes in how Twitter present themselve.

Twitter's aquesition of Revue, a service that allows anyone to start and publish editorial newsletters, is now integrated into the Twitter platform.
Although the new menu item just takes people to the Revue site.

Tweets from followed lists showing in Home stream
This is new. The screenshot shows a tweet from a Twitter list showing in the users home stream.
To be clear the user is not following the person, the person is included in a list (made by a different account) that the user has followed and pinned.
This is sort of like tweets from Topics one is following, which can also appear in the home stream.

Watch on YouTube ๐ค
I've this "Watch on YouTube" overlay, in the bottom left corner of some YouTube video embeds.
When clicked it opens the watch page with the variable "emb_imp_woyt" at the end of the URL.
I can't find any info on it and the overlay has now (for me) stopped showing.
Anyone know anything about this?

Geo-tag OR Hashtag?
YouTube currently seems to allow you to Geo-tag a video OR hashtag a video, but not do both.
Bizzarly it seems that although YouTube's instructions with hashags are to add them in your video title or description, it appears that inclusion on the hashtag landing page is dependant on the hastag showing in the video chin, the small space below the video just above the video title.
The chin is where any geo-tag you have applied to the video shows and applying a geo-tag prevents any applied hashtags from showing in the chin.
So, it's really a choice of either or and for me in this use-case I dropped the geo-tag so that the video does get indexed for the hashtag page.
I'll seek some clarity from YouTube about this, as it would be helpful to be able to geo-tag AND use hashtags.

Facebook - Instagram Live Rooms
To start a Live Room, swipe left and pick the Live camera option. Then, add a title and tap the Rooms icon to add your guests. Youโll see people who have requested to go live with you, and you can also search for a guest to add. When you start a Live Room, youโll remain at the top of the screen when you add guests. As a broadcaster, you can add up to three guests at once or one by one.
Guestsโ followers can also be notified.
