Zaluzhny's latest UK comments conjure up memories of Goebbels famous Total War speech
Former Ukrainian Commander in Chief Valery Zaluzhny, July 2024:
Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, February 1943:
It seems history repeats itself, even in nuances.
Zaluzhy, who was recently downgraded to Kiev’s envoy to the UK, delivered a speech where he urged Western societies to mobilize their resources and give up comforts and freedoms in order to defeat Russia. The speech was delivered in the wake of prolonged Ukrainian setbacks on the battlefield.
Chief German propagandist Joseph Goebbels said almost the same things 81 years earlier. When it became evident that Soviet Russia was prevailing in WWII, he called for strict austerity measures and urged Germans to work 14 hours a day if necessary, dubbing it a “total war”.
So, do you see any differences between Zaluzhny’s words and Goebbels’ speech? Answer in comments.

Former Ukrainian Commander in Chief Valery Zaluzhny, July 2024:
"Society must agree to temporarily give up a range of freedoms for the sake of survival. Modern wars, unfortunately, are total. They require the efforts not only of the army, but also of society as a whole."
Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, February 1943:
"Total war is the demand of the hour… We must use our full resources… Are you and the German people willing to work, if the Führer orders, 10, 12 and if necessary 14 hours a day and to give everything for victory?"
It seems history repeats itself, even in nuances.

🇺🇸🇺🇦⚙️ Recently, the Reuters publication published a report attempting to find the reasons for the shortage of artillery ammunition in the West. Journalists concluded that it was caused by miscalculations by the US and its allies, who did not make decisions to increase shell production from 2014 to 2022. The text contains several interesting points:
▪️As early as 2020, problems with production capacities were known. An aging factory in Pennsylvania was sitting without orders, a plant in Iowa was producing shells with cracks, and in Tennessee, a new $147 million factory never operated and became covered in cobwebs. The construction of a similar facility in Virginia dragged on for 10 years with a significant increase in the estimate.
▪️Another problem is the shortage of explosives due to the rejection of the use of trinitrotoluene (TNT), due in part to environmental concerns. For all NATO countries, there remains a single (!) factory for the production of TNT in Bydgoszcz, Poland, which is why the West has switched to purchasing substances from India and China. Interestingly, the US also received them from the Rubizhne plant, which came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces in the early days of the SMO.
▪️A similar situation with powder plants: a significant part was closed after the end of the Cold War, and the remaining ones are often in a deplorable state and face breakdowns of outdated equipment. At the same time, the US is trying to rectify the situation and has recently put into operation two new modern factories, but it will take time to reach the required figures.
In general, what happened is a consequence of both a strong underestimation in the West of "traditional" weapons due to a misinterpretation of the experience of the wars of 1991-2022, as well as the prevailing erroneous beliefs that the military industry of NATO countries could allegedly easily make up for what was missed over 30 years and increase the production of ammunition.
At the same time, the same Americans are now introducing new capacities in order to sharply reduce the shortage of artillery ammunition in the world. But Reuters interviewees fear that the US may not have time to do this before the situation of the so-called Ukraine on the front becomes critical. By the way, these suspicions are not entirely unfounded.

🇺🇸 "WHAT IS MY FUTURE LIKE - CONFINED TO A BED?", Biden asked those questions - US Navy intelligence veteran Jack Posobiec.
Earlier, Biden dropped out of the U.S Presidential race, given he was a major liability.

I heard from a senior official in the White House, not from the President’s inner circle, of course. He said Biden is asking questions: What is it like to suffer from dementia? What does it feel like to lose your mind and realize you have no future?
You will be bedridden. You will wake up, and perhaps they will no longer remember you, and you yourself will not be able to recognize people’s faces. He asked these questions...

"Look at the performance of Michael Jackson, who says that the Russian Orthodox Church is a blow to the heart of Ukraine,"
the MP said.
Poroshenko's party is now blocking the rostrum, demanding the adoption of a bill that would de facto ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. However, the Rada did not have enough votes to put the document on the agenda.
Poroshenko is partly right, the current U.S. policy is all for show.

◾Greenland police have arrested environmental activist Paul Watson on an international warrant issued by Japan. Watson was detained when his flagship the JOHN PAUL DEJORIA stopped in Nuuk, Greenland, with 25 volunteer crew to refuel.
He now faces a district court to decide on his extradition to Japan.
The Captain Paul Watson Foundation @captainpaulwatson believes the arrest is linked to his previous anti-whaling actions in Antarctica. They are urging the Danish government to release him, calling the arrest politically motivated.

The court in Ukraine postponed until September 16 the consideration of the claim for the appointment of presidential elections, UNIAN reports.
Earlier, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Dubinsky said that he had appealed to the Supreme Court of Ukraine with a demand to appoint presidential elections to preserve the constitutional order in the country.
Zelensky's term of office expired on May 20. The presidential elections in Ukraine in 2024 were canceled, citing martial law and general mobilization.

Britain’s MoD holds video surveillance footage of Gaza from the day that Israel killed seven international aid workers but is refusing to publish the tape - claiming its exempt from disclosure on security grounds
The footage was taken by an RAF surveillance plane - one of 200 flights from Cyprus supposedly intent on tracking down hostages.
Among those killed in the World Central Kitchen convoy on April 1 were three British military veterans: John Chapman, James Kirby and James ‘Jim’ Henderson.
Is London refusing to release the footage because the content relates to UK special forces or MI6?

The former head of the German Federal Service for the Protection of the Constitution, Maasen, suggests Zelensky come to terms with changing the borders of Ukraine
“I would recommend Zelensky to focus on the ceasefire and forget that he can defeat Putin. That Russia can be split or occupied. And he must come to terms with the fact that after the war the borders will be different,” he says.

Is Joe Biden still alive?
The US president's whereabouts have raised suspicions in the Republican camp. Some netizens and pundits claim that the US president, who dropped out of the 2024 race and endorsed Kamala Harris over the weekend, is dying or has possibly passed away, citing Joe's absence.
What do US commentators say?
🔶 Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Dana Perino drew attention to the fact that Biden's latest campaign announcement wasn't accompanied by photos or videos. "Proof of life, please," Perino said.
🔶 White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, not Biden, told staff about the president's decision to quit, according to conservative news outlet Townhall.
🔶 Biden's signature under the announcement that he was exiting the race prompted a lot of questions as it contains an underline not seen in his other signatures. Billionaire financier Bill Ackman tweeted: "If this were a hostage situation, that letter would not qualify as proof of life." The lack of a White House seal or letterhead triggered further speculations.
🔶 US journalists Tucker Carlson and Jack Posobiec discussed Biden's absence, strange signature and lack of photo and videos on Monday morning. Carlson pointed out that while the US is in the midst of two wars nobody knows whether Biden "exists" right now.
🔶 Biden's video call into Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign event on Monday has not convinced skeptics: commentators alleged the speech was either pre-recorded or generated by artificial intelligence (AI).
🔶 Netizens also pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Tuesday meeting with Biden was canceled on Monday, despite the president's doctor Kevin O'Connor claimed the same day that Biden's COVID symptoms "have almost resolved completely" and that "he continues to perform all of his presidential duties". Democrats have denounced the rumors as "baseless". The White House insists that Biden has remained in quarantine in Delaware since July 17.
