On May 20, International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan said he had filed requests for arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israeli Foreign Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as for several Hamas officials, over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed since October 2023 based on evidence collected and examined by his office.

During his address to the US Congress, Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the pro-peace and pro-Palestine protesters outside as "Iran's useful idiots."

He adds that some protesters are holding up signs that say 'gays for Gaza', adding: "They might as well hold up signs saying 'Chickens for KFC'".

Israel's Netanyahu proposes NATO-inspired 'Abraham Alliance' with US to counter Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an address to the US Congress on Wednesday proposed that the United States and Israel should forge a security alliance to counter Iran, in the same way that America allied with Europe to counter the Soviet Union.

"Now here's my vision for the broader Middle East, it's also shaped in part by what we saw in the aftermath of World War II, after that war, America forged a security alliance in Europe to counter the growing Soviet threat. Likewise, America and Israel today can forge a security alliance in the Middle East to counter the growing Iranian threat," Netanyahu said.

All countries that are at peace with Israel and all those countries who will make peace with Israel should be invited to join this alliance, which should be called the "Abraham Alliance," Netanyahu added.
