THE COUNTDOWN TO ARMAGEDDON HAS BEGUN

This report is based on having read approximately 5000 Telegram postings found on Persian and Arabic language Telegram channels. In spite of the extensive reading involved in its preparation, the report, itself, will be short.

Israeli leadership has long believed in the efficacy of assassination and, in Mossad, has the best assassination units in the world. The attitudes of the Israeli leadership, though, reflect those of the Israeli people. When Mossad succeeded in assassinating Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas's chief diplomat in Teheran, the people of Israel celebrated the act on the one hand and began looking for places to hide on the other.

Everyone in West Asia expects Iran to react strongly, more so than in April, when Israel proved incapable of defending itself, even with American, British, Saudi Arabian, and Jordanian help. Iranian leaders on every side of the political spectrum have promised not to disappoint expectations.

Israelis expect Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemen, plus resistance forces in Syria and Iraq to support Iran in its upcoming attack. This is a reasonable expectation.

America and the UK have requested Iran not to overreact. While not denying Israel's actions, they are still giving Israel unconditional support and have sent naval forces to the region. The support, though, does not seems to materially exceed that given in April to help counter Iran's then successful attack. But, both the UK and the US have Zionist controlled political systems. Predictably, their reactions are to be compared with ostriches that have their heads stuck in the sand. As such, they are trying to get surrounding Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf states) to participate in Israel's air defense.

Saudi Arabia and Jordan, however, have already been informed through diplomatic channels that Iran will use their airspace in its attack on Israel. Public opinion in Iran is demanding that these countries be treated as enemies, should they help Israel as they unsuccessfully did in April.

Israel has promised to engage in full scale war should an Iranian attack result in damage or loss of life. This ignores the fact that Israel is already involved in full scale war against Hamas, that Hezbollah claims to be fully prepared for any Israeli escalation, and that Iran has a massively larger and now better equipped war machine that, unlike Israel, is not dependent on foreign aid from halfway around the world.

In particular, what Iranian leaders emphasize is that, for public organizations, assassination merely means that new leaders immediately arise to take the place of old leaders and that, as old heroes die, new heroes will be born. Qatar has pointed out the futility of continuing diplomatic negotiations, if one side carries out the assassination of those members of the other side designated to negotiate with it.

Clearly, the countdown has begun and physical preparations are already underway for a major attack on the Zionist political entity. What will happen does not seem to be planned as an immediate death blow, but more in the nature of a physically crippling event. This, though, will only spread the destruction and prolong the pain. The eventual occurrence of an Armageddon equivalent, it seems, cannot, in the end, be avoided, only prolonged.
