🇨🇦🇫🇷🇩🇪🇮🇹🇯🇵🇬🇧🇺🇸🛢️G7 countries agreed to release up to 100 million barrels of oil and diesel from their strategic reserves onto the market within the next four months - Domestic abuse victim, Emmanuel Macron, announced.

Bloomberg reports that the decision was made under pressure from the Trump administration to curb rising fuel prices. The U.S. threatened to ban diesel exports if European countries did not release additional volumes onto the market. Such a move would have jeopardized a key supply source for the continent, which relies heavily on imports to cover its diesel production deficit.

Trump welcomed the decision, stating that Europe has large diesel reserves and that the "process will begin immediately."
