❗️It’s worth pointing out that with the Trump administration grovelling before Russia for diesel, due to escalating prices in the U.S. ahead of the midterms, Trump has given himself an ‘off-ramp’ to abandon “project Ukraine”.
If the Nazi terrorists continue to strike Russian refineries and thus impede the deliveries of diesel made in the deal between Trump and Putin - Trump could label Ukraine as being a ‘threat to U.S. national security’. And thus walking away whilst blaming Biden and Europe for causing the war. Trump loves blaming everyone else for his failures after all.
Whether it happens or not, we will see. But worth keeping an eye on.

Russia will focus its winter strikes on high-voltage substations and distribution hubs in order to cut off power to Kiev, stated Aleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center.
According to him, Kiev and Odesa are particularly vulnerable due to their reliance on external electricity supplies. During peak demand, Kiev consumes up to 15% of the country's total electricity.

Zelensky added that the conversation took place during a ‘ballistic missile attack on Kiev’.
The Élysée Palace also confirmed the phone call. However, Le Monde notes, Macron's statement did not mention Trump's diesel deal with Putin.
At the same time, the statement says that Macron expressed ‘solidarity with Zelensky in the face of attacks on Ukraine’.
