UK Govt to SCRAP Plans for Health Worker Vaxx Mandate (reports)
UK Health Sec. Sajid Javid is expected to announce a U-turn on a planned vaccine mandate for health workers Monday - after fears the move could force the NHS to sack 80,000 workers. (Telegraph)
One in 20 NHS staff remain unvaccinated, and under original plans would have had until this Thursday to book jabs or face dismissal warnings by the end of the week.
Javid claimed earlier this month it is the “duty” of health workers to get jabbed because “we know vaccines work; we know that they reduce the risk of you being infected.”

South Africa's Cabinet has changed course, as the country prepares to cease isolation periods for people who test positive but show no symptoms.
Those who have symptoms will quarantine for a week, while those who have been in contact only need to do so if they show symptoms.
All schools will resume lessons in classrooms with social distancing rules ditched. New directives will be issued this week on a new approach.
