Dear WIUT Students,

In order to provide additional support for students, WIUT’s Executive Team has decided to set tuition fee payment schedule for Undergraduate students (Levels 4, 5 and 6) in four installments (each installment up to 25% of the tuition fee) in the following order:

For the first semester: the first installment due date is September 16th and the second installment due date is November 16th for each academic year.

For the second semester: the first installment due date is January 12th and the second installment due date is March 12 for each academic year.

Students who are paying with the help of sponsors (legal entities, companies, firms etc.) or who are receiving bank loans, can request an additional agreement to their current contract due to changes in the contract terms. Additional agreements can be requested online through AskWIUT Student Information Service.

This change is effective from the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

❗️Ожидается снижение стоимости контракта за обучение в вузах

В связи с началом нового учебного года в онлайн формате в Узбекистане планируется пересмотреть стоимость контракта. В ближайшие дни ожидается официальное заявление.

Ожидается, что стоимость обучения на платно-контрактной основе в вузах в 2020/2021 учебном году не изменится. Об этом Министерства высшего и среднего специального образования.
Если обучение в сентябре будет организовано дистанционно или у некоторых курсов учеба начнется в октябре, будет ли соответственно понижена стоимость контракта?
Пресс-секретарь минвуза, Фарход Бабашев:
Прежде всего, стоит отметить, что в период объявленных в связи пандемией карантинных ограничений, всем преподавателям и сотрудникам вузов в установленном порядке выплачиваются зарплата и отпускные, а также стипендии студентам.
«Так, начиная с 1 апреля 2020 года преподавателями в дистанционном режиме работы проводятся онлайн-занятия для студентов на основе утвержденных предметных программ. В связи с введением дистанционного (онлайн) обучения студентов, вузами расходуются дополнительные средства на его организацию и материальную базу.
К тому же, действующие базовые размеры контрактов меньше, чем фактическая стоимость обучения (в настоящее время покрывает только 69% расходов), поэтому нет возможности уменьшить размер контрактов».
Пресс-секретарь добавил, учитывая, что в связи с пандемией коронавируса граждане находятся в сложной экономической ситуации, не планируется изменять стоимость контракта студентов в 2020/2021 учебном году.
В ближайшие дни в СМИ будет опубликован соответствующий документ. В этом документе все будет подробно описано.

Учебный год для первокурсников начнется 1 октября

Для студентов, обучающихся на втором курсе и выше, учеба начнется в дистанционной форме в сентябре.

Об этом сообщил министр высшего и среднего специального образования Иномжон Мажидов.

Tution fee for the upcoming academic year, however, this non-payed sum shall be paid in the next academic year (or prior obtaining the Diploma, in case of level 6);

in addition to the annual 15% discounts for the tuition fee for students studying on 70+ marks, to provide scholarships in the amount of 2.000.000 sums for the students with 60-69.9 marks (for those who have already completed the level 3, the discount presumed to stay the same as it was before: 15% - for the completion of the CIFS on 60+ marks);

to provide discounts for the tuition fee in the amount of up to 35% for the socially vulnerable students that was used in 2017. At present. the requirements for this kind of discount has already been upgraded and are available on the http://intranet.wiut.uz/SVStudentSupportRequest (for all the questions contact ask.wiut@wiut.uz);

to entitle students to conduct monthly payments (for all the questions and forms contact ksaidov2@wiut.uz );

to encourage students in finding out applicable credit mechanisms through the banks (for all the questions contact ksaidov2@wiut.uz​);

to record and upload each lecture and seminar onto the internal portals of the university, in case of distance learning; and,

to establish an appointment (booking) system to access the university facilities such as sports hall, library, PC labs if it lays down in the conformity with the governmental authorities’ requirements.

However, it shall be noted that even these proposals were agreed between the Rector and Students’ Union, some of them do not serve as a final decision, as the special executive board governing the WIUT shall officially declare (the next week) to make them enforceable. Notwithstanding the latter statement, I do hope and believe that the official declaration of the aforementioned proposals will take place in a positive side of the students, as the Rector himself also expresses his huge desire and initiative to help the students at these challenging times.

(Completed):

*28th September is the first Teaching Week;

*Lessons will be Synchronous - live stream (real time online lesson) lessons according to schedule;

*New building is finished and filled with equipments. Little changes must be done. After this it will be ready to operate. New building is the same as ATB;

*University is not even sure whether or not it is allowed for international and local students to stay in the dormitory;

*Equal number of Modules in each semester MUST be chosen;

*Awards list will be announced next week. It is already completed;
15% discount is given for students with 60+ overall

*Sign your contract, print and send back with email by just replying. No hard copy is needed. If you need printed copy, you can ask from University so they will send it with regular mail;

*❗️Attendance will be monitored;

*Students will be grouped as normal;

*Full time students are allowed to take 120 credits only. 140 credits permitted only if you carry failed module with you to next level;
(Section 17, Handbook of Academic Regulations);

*Graduation ceremony is scheduled for November, 15. If situation will be under the control it will be held;

*If you haven't received your contract yet, you don't have to worry. They send it already and it's pending. You will receive within 10 days;

It is interesting how WIUT staff is leaving for “TEAM” university, starting from Alan France. Lol

P.S. the same happened in USSR and it is called “Brain Drain”

The program fee will be between $2495-$2795.

As the long awaited Induction Week is coming close, the schedule of the events planned for the week has been sent out to all of you. The online Induction Week 2020, which will include various live broadcasts from Mentors, Students' Union and engaging activities with your groupmates, will commence from Monday 21 September. You are strongly encouraged to identify yourself within your groups before the start of the Induction.

✅For Direct Entry and Postgraduate Students, the Induction Week Schedule has been mailed through the Admission System and to your personal e-mails.

❗️For all our students the Teaching Week (TW1) for the 2020-2021 Academic Year starts on Monday, 28th September.

⭕️ Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions the teaching/learning process at WIUT, like in all other Universities across Uzbekistan, starts online, but as soon as face-to-face teaching and learning is permitted, we will open our doors for you again. Learning Resource Centre and other Student Support Services have prepared their online support strategies for your convenience, details of which will be announced to you very soon.

Don’t put too much effort on WIUT’s education, it doesn’t give you golden mountains or career that pays you $ cash. Take off your pink glasses and maybe don’t choose economics because IT is a future.
P.S. just some random economist from 2022 also you don’t have work and travel and I have no idea how you guys are paying 30mln.
