On November 20, 2020, Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) held the official opening ceremony of its brand-new innovative campus.

The ceremony officially started with the speech of Bakhrom Mirkasimov, Rector of WIUT, in which he congratulated students and staff on the opening of the new building.

The ceremony continued with the campus tour during which all guests were introduced to the following facilities: 9 classrooms and 2 lecture halls, 4 computer labs, a hotel laboratory, which includes a hotel room, a bar-restaurant and a kitchen, where students can practice the basics of hospitality; as well as social areas for students and 2 conference rooms with a capacity of over 200 people.

The entrance to the building is equipped with face recognition technology (Face ID), which enhances the level of security and convenience.

Soon, the entrance to the new campus will be open to all WIUT students! We look forward to seeing you

Dear Students,
As hard as it is to believe, we are already two-thirds of the way through the Fall teaching schedule. None of this has been easy - whether in person or remote. But you have proven that WIUT students can handle tough challenges. Thank you for your patience and for choosing to do the right thing.
We will continue with the Phase II approach - bringing students back on campus. From Monday, 30th November, all CIFS Foundation students (Level 3 only) in addition to Level 7 postgraduate students will be resuming their classes on-campus and in-person. For all Undergraduate students, Levels 4-6, your module teaching will still be online until further communication.
If you are planning to return to our University-owned dormitories and international students, please get in touch with Gulnaz Bektemirova as soon as possible, our Director for Student Support Services, copied in this email. For any further queries, please speak to your Course Leaders.
Please remember the health and safety of our WIUT community are our highest priority. While on campus, you must remain socially distant from your fellow peers and wear a mask at all times.
I hope this update is useful. I will continue to write to you throughout the year, providing updates and progress on the current epidemiological situation and on matters that concern your studies with us. Please keep in mind that we are here for you and we are all here for each other.

It says CIFS and master’s degree students will be offline. Do you agree with that?
Dear regional CIFS students requiring accommodation in university dormitory. Your "expression of interest" applications will be activated and considered in the order of their submission, and soon you will be contacted by the University representative with the explanation of further procedure. Please be patient and wait the call from University.
In the meantime, please note that this application is valid for first semester term only. Accommodation will be provided for the period of one month starting November 30th.
All students (including other levels) will have to reapply for accommodation for the second semester of studies.
Again, please be patient and wait for the University representative to contact you (applications are considered in the order in which they were submitted). Once all the procedures are complete and your application is approved, you will be able to generate invoice to make the payment in your local bank for the one month of living in the University dormitory.
