๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Tomorrow, Thursday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Senator Ron Johnson will host the Sovereignty Summit in Washington D.C. The organizers are calling for the decision on changes to the IHR and on a new pandemic treaty to be postponed, because the WHO has violated its own statutes, which require that proposals for changes must be communicated to the 194 member states at least 4 months in advance. A proposal for the changes was only made a few weeks ago and it is unclear whether it is complete.

In recent days, parliamentarians from all over the world have signed the tabling letter and also recorded short films on why they took this decision. Politicians from 16 countries and 5 continents have so far signed the letter:
* Africa (1): Uganda
* Asia (2): Philippines, India
* Europe (7): Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, Sweden, United Kingdom
* North America (3): Honduras, Canada, USA
* South America (3): Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay

In the video accompanying this post, Canadian MP Colin Carrie talks about why he thinks the decision on the WHO's proposed changes should be delayed.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ This is a breakthrough! 24 Republican governors in the US, representing 24 different states, have written to President Joe Biden opposing the WHO's proposed changes. They write:

"Dear Mr. President,

We, as governors of our respective states, stand united in opposition to two proposed instruments

Negotiations are currently underway on a proposal that would give the World Health Organization (WHO)
unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the United States and its people.

The proposed changes could drastically alter the role of governors in responding to their mandates as state health officials. The proposed agreements seek to significantly alter the WHO's existing International Health Regulations (IHR) and introduce a new "pandemic agreement" (treaty), which would undermine national sovereignty, infringe on states' rights, and jeopardize constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.

The purpose of these instruments is to give the WHO, and in particular its unaccountable
Director-General, the authority to restrict the rights of U.S. citizens, including freedoms such as speech, privacy, travel, choice of medical care, and informed consent, in violation of our Constitution's founding principles.

If adopted, these agreements will seek to elevate the WHO from an advisory body to a global authority on public health. Under the proposed amendments and treaty, the WHO Director-General would
presumably be given unilateral power to declare a "public health emergency of international concern" (PHEIC) in member states, which extends beyond pandemics to encompass a variety of perceived emergencies.

Moreover, these instruments would erode sovereignty by empowering the WHO Director-General to dictate responses to a declared PHEIC, depriving elected representatives of their role in setting public health policy and forcing citizens to comply with WHO directives including mandates regarding medical treatments.

Further concerns arise regarding the establishment of a global surveillance infrastructure and
requiring Member States to censor speech related to public health, potentially facilitating the spread of biological weapons.

As Governors, we affirm that public health policy is a matter reserved for the States, not the
federal government, and certainly not international bodies like the WHO. We are determined to oppose any attempt to transfer authority to WHO over public policies that affect our citizens
or any attempts by the WHO to assert such authority over them.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ New speech by UK MP Andrew Bridgen on all the scandals involving medicines over the last 50 years and claims after each scandal by politicians and authorities that lessons have been learnt.

โ€Does the Minister agree that the only real lesson that we have learnt has been learnt by the public - that they cannot trust the Government, any Government, to protect them from unsafe drugs and treatments.โ€

He concludes:

โ€When are the arrests going to start and if that has to include current and former members of this house, then so be it.โ€
