🌡The Gympie-Gympie (stinger, the suicide plant, or moonlighter)
🐍is one of four species of stinging tree in Australia.
but is said to have the worst sting of all, and possibly the most painful sting of any plant in Australia. (it's said that there are 9 poisonous plants in Australia).
Most at home in the tropics, the Gympie-Gympie is able to grow in northern New South Wales, but most common from Gympie in southern Queensland to Cape York Peninsula, especially common in the Atherton Tablelands. The mulberry-like seeds are dispersed by birds.

πŸ€¦β€β™‚Facebook and Twitter 'harm young people's mental health'😱

❗️Four of the five most popular forms of social media harm young people’s mental health, with Instagram the most damaging, according to research by two health organisations.

❌Instagram has the most negative impact on young people’s mental wellbeing, a survey of almost 1,500 14- to 24-year-olds found, and the health groups accused it of deepening young people’s feelings of inadequacy and anxiety.

🌳Boab Prison Tree in Derby @australian
✨There are two famous boab prison trees:
one near Derby on the west coast called Boab Prison Tree,
and the other one near Wyndham east of Kimberley called Hillgrove Lockup (also known as Wyndham Prison Tree).

🌳Both the boab trees are believed to be over 1500 years old and they have large hollow trunks that measure over 14 metres in circumferences. There is a door on the side of the tree where an opening had been cut into the tree. The Wyndham Prison Tree has a floor space of 100 square feet and is said to have accommodated up to thirty prisoners at a time.

πŸ˜”The boab prison cells were believed to be used as an overnight stop in the 1890s by the local police to lock up Aboriginal prisoners who were awaiting sentencing.

πŸ˜ƒThese iconic trees are of cultural significant to the indigenous people and have been fenced to prevent vandalism. The boab prison trees are now tourist attractions in the region and visitors can get a glimpse of the trees when they visit the Kimberley area.
