If what he is saying is meant to be straightforward (a unified pro-EU party, like TISZA in Hungary), this will mean the suicide of the political establishment.
In any European country (except for Hungary, and a few others), the electoral system is straightforward: if you pass the electoral threshold (usually 4-5%), your party gets a number of seats directly proportional with the amount of votes you received in the national elections. This allows for multiple parties to exist, with much better representation in Parliament than in countries like the USA and Hungary (where less than 50% of MPs are elected based on how many people voted for their party).
In their eternal stupidity, progressives saw the pro-EU TISZA party win more than half of Parliament in Hungary and thought this is going to be the formula for defeating sovereigntism in elections.
In a country like Romania, where 100% of MPs are elected based on directly proportional representation, a pro-European party is never going to receive 50% of votes, simply because of internal fighting over policies.
Imagine a common party that both PSD and PNL fused into. Now imagine how much harder it is going to be for politicians to convince both liberals and social-democrats to vote for that party. Social-democrats will refuse to vote, because there are liberals among that party, and liberals will do the same thing, because of the social-democrats. There are hundreds of policies that not all pro-EU voters and influencers will agree on.
In other countries, there is usually 2 or more conservative parties that citizens can vote for, and the more the better. Poland has 4 main conservative parties, with 2 of them being in a common alliance, and that has them at 47% combined voting intention in opinion polls.
AUR is struggling to get back to 40%. Right now, it has 37% in the polls, and would only get 43% if it absorbed all votes from SOS and POT. Most Romanians are not even well familiarised with the SOS party, let alone other extra-parliamentarian parties like ACT and PPR. Therefore, the average Romanian thinks every nationalist is a supporter of AUR, and every supporter of AUR is a nationalist (which is far from true). This makes it easier for propagandists and influencers to avoid a nationalist MP majority in the forseeable future. If someone is convinced that AUR is not the right choice for them, they will not bother looking for another nationalist party to vote for, simply because they are too isolated by the media. Both hardcore AUR influencers and pro-EU influencers are to blame for this.
In 2028, the only way that Romanians will be able to secure a nationalist majority in Parliament is if one of these two things happen:
🔸 Pro-EU forces fuse into one big party, making it easier for nationalist to attack their narrative in campaigns.
🔸 There is going to be more than one or two nationalist parties that voters are familiarized with. This does not simply mean they need to exist on paper. Instead, nationalist intellectuals, elites, those with money and media outlets need to stop alienating anything that isn't strictly AUR.
That being said, as a conservative news aggregator, the Wallachian Gazette team endorses the idea of a single, unified Pro-EU political party.

—🇧🇬 NEW: Bulgaria's PP-DB coalition splits hours before first parliamentary session.
➡️ The political coalition PP-DB has officially announced a "divorce," increasing the number of political formations in the Bulgarian parliament to six.
➡️ The split is widely seen as a strategic move to boycott the election of a new Supreme Judicial Council, which requires 160 out of 240 votes.
➡️ With Radev currently commanding 131 seats, the fragmentation of PP and DB complicates his path to a majority; even with the support of another political group, he would likely fall one vote short at 159.
➡️ While support from the nationalist Revival party could potentially push the judicial council vote through, broader systemic reforms are now expected to face significant hurdles.
