Balkan Spectator - Serbia Elections 🗳
—🇧🇦 /🇸🇦 Bosnia and Saudi Arabia reaffirm support for each other’s sovereignty ➡️ FM Elmedin Konaković met Saudi Ambassador Anas Abdulrahman O. Al Wasedy and condemned the recent Houthi attacks on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh’s King Khalid…
—NOTE: The Saudi ambassador’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 🇧🇦 territorial integrity comes days after Klix.ba reported that a lobbying firm hired by Republika Srpska 🇧🇦 had claimed Saudi 🇸🇦 officials showed interest in the entity’s independence.
⚠️ That was the lobbyists’ claim, not a confirmed Saudi government position.

🇦🇱 #Albania: Clashes broke out between student protesters and police in Tirana after demonstrators hurled eggs, bricks, and concrete blocks at the Ministry of Education. Several protesters were detained and riot police has used water cannons in an attempt to disperse the crowds.
The nationwide protests are driven by student grievances over university conditions, rising higher education costs, financial support, and limited employment prospects after graduation, alongside broader anger over inequality and the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

🇦🇱 #Albania: Protesters have set fire to the Ministry of Education building in Tirana as student-led demonstrations against Prime Minister Edi Rama continue to escalate.
University and high school students have joined the “Flamingo Revolution”, demanding Rama’s resignation amid growing anger over the government. Protesters have chanted slogans including “Down with the dictatorship” and “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison.”
The protests have been ongoing since May 31st against the Kushner project, which involves building luxury resorts on Albania’s Sazan Island and near the protected Narta Lagoon, in a development linked to Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and daughter, Ivanka Trump. This is where the name “Flamingo Revolution” comes from.
