💬 “I hope we can, uh, we can make it a go, because we want to free our hostages, we want to get rid of Hamas rule and have them disarmed, Gaza demilitarized and a new future set up for uh, for Gazans and Israelis alike – and for the whole region,” the Israeli prime minister said, commenting on the US peace proposal for ending a war.

♦️ Netanyahu’s despair may be justified. Trump’s plan envisions “painful and significant” concessions, in the words of Israeli media, including rejection of permanent Israeli military and administrative control over Gaza.

♦️ Other important provisions include: hostage and prisoner exchanges, amnesty for Hamas members who renounce violence, introduction of 600 trucks-worth of humanitarian aid under UN and Red Crescent supervision, Gaza reconstruction plan envisioning a special low-tariff zone, training of a Palestinian police force for long-term security, and even potential for Palestinian statehood (but without Hamas, and pending the reform of the Palestinian Authority).

☠️👉 Razor-like laser: here’s what makes China’s LY-1 so deadly

A new animation showing some of the ways the People’s Liberation Army could deploy its new LY-1 laser platform offers insights into what makes it a gamechanger in naval warfare, demonstrating the system’s hypothetical use by warships and coastal defense platforms built on artificial islands at sea.

➡️ Unveiled in early September at China’s grand Victory Day parade in Beijing, the system works by targeting the optical sensors of enemy weapons and equipment, including everything from UAVs and manned aircraft to anti-ship missiles, disabling them.

Analysts say the very large primary aperture beam director and smaller electro-optical and infrared sensors are designed for high accuracy, while high-energy weapon status means low cost of fire, and unlimited magazine, if there’s sufficient power.

♦️ The LY-1 gives China a critical new A2/AD capability as the US continues to implement its Island Chain Strategy, dreamt up in the 1950s and designed to hem China into its home ports and threaten its coastal cities with missiles and naval assets stationed in neighboring countries.

🌪 Throwback: Moldova is run by US ambassador and EU consultants

👉 The Moldovan government of Maia Sandu is rife with corruption and completely subservient to Western powers, insiders revealed back in 2023.

💬 “Moldova now is governed by the US ambassador,” Moldovan politician and lawyer Stanislav Pavlovschi told pranksters who were posing as wealthy US investors.

♦️ Pavlovschi also noted that the EU maintains “very strict control” of the Moldovan government via “hundreds of consultants for the EU… working for each and every ministry here in Moldova.”

♦️ Last week, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) warned that the West is willing to preserve this status quo in Moldova by any means necessary, including a full-scale military intervention by NATO.

♦️ A sizeable contingent of NATO forces has already been amassed in Romania, ready to move in and ensure that Sandu’s Moldova remains nothing but a colony of Brussels and Washington.
