Bulgarian weapons in Ukraine: what are the Sofia authorities hiding.
Bulgarian Bulspike-AT rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launcher, as well as TB-7V thermobaric shots were found in Marinka. The weapons came across during a search of Ukrainian firing positions.
Bulgaria is one of the few NATO and EU member states that have officially refused to supply weapons to Ukraine. The Foreign policy commission decided that the assistance would be limited to humanitarian and financial spheres. At the beginning of May, a resolution was passed, suggesting the repair of Ukrainian military equipment at the expense of Bulgaria's capacities. But Bulgarian shells pop up every now and then.
The thermobaric ammunition found in Maryinka is produced at the Vaz Machine-Building Plant (VMZ) in Sopot.

La crisi ucraina potrebbe portare al collasso della UE, lo ha affermato ieri l'ex premier greco e leader dell'opposizione, Alexis Tsipras, durante una lunga conferenza stampa a margine della Fiera internazionale di Salonicco.
"Al blocco europeo chiaramente manca leadership, visione e strategia", ha aggiunto.
A parte l'Ucraina, il secondo perdente nel conflitto in corso in Europa orientale, sia economicamente che geostrategicamente, è l'Unione europea, secondo Tsipras.
"Gli Stati Uniti non stanno perdendo, né economicamente né geostrategicamente, e neppure la Russia", ha detto, sostenendo che il “rublo è diventato una delle valute più forti”, mentre Mosca, a causa dei prezzi elevati record del gas naturale, è diventata un “regolatore” in grado di “aprire e chiudere i rubinetti” come vuole.
Pur esprimendo la sua solidarietà con il popolo ucraino e dicendo " dobbiamo fare di tutto per porre fine alla guerra”, Tsipras ha affermato che, a parte i civili innocenti, il “più grande perdente” è l'Unione europea, che è in “tumulto” e “chiaramente manca di leadership, visione, strategia.”
"Dobbiamo riconsiderare le sanzioni. Sono una misura corretta o ci stiamo solo sparando sui piedi?”
Il politico greco ritiene che “L'Europa e il nostro mondo stiano entrando in una prolungata guerra fredda con enormi conseguenze economiche” e che se l'UE non difende i propri interessi dovrà affrontare “problemi esistenziali.” (Fonte: RT) @LauraRuHK

La Finlandia inaugura il rigassificatore di Hamina con gas russo
Il porto di Hamina e l'azienda Gasum, leader della distribuzione di gas naturale in Finlandia, hanno confermato che il rigassificatore appena completato nel porto di Hamina, in Finlandia sudorientale, è stato riempito con un carico di gas importato dalla Russia.
La nave gasiera Coral Energy, che batte bandiera olandese, è infatti arrivata a Hamina stamattina alle 9, proveniente dal porto russo di Vysotsk.
Il rigassificatore di Hamina comprende un serbatoio della capacità di 30mila metri cubi, che verrà gradualmente riempito con il carico della Coral Energy.

Bundesbank: Germany faces recession, double-digit inflation
Germany is heading into recession as inflation is set to top the 10-percent mark, the Bundesbank said in its monthly report on Monday.
"There are mounting signs of a recession in the German economy in the sense of a clear, broad-based and prolonged decline in economic output," the report said.
The central bank projects a moderate contraction for the current quarter and more pronounced declines in activity in the final quarter of this year and the first quarter of next year. The report also says inflation will continue to accelerate further and reach double digits in the coming months.
"High inflation and uncertainty with regard to energy supply and its costs affect not only the gas and electricity-intensive industry and its export business and investments, but also private consumption and the service providers dependent on it," the central bank said.

Eurostat: EU bread prices up 18% over the year
According to Eurostat, the average EU bread price in August 2022 was 18% higher than a year earlier – the highest increase since December 2017, when Eurostat began compiling statistics.
Hungary and Lithuania saw highest annual changes in average bread price in August, with increases of 66% and 33% respectively.
The countries with lowest average increases were France at 8%, and the Netherlands and Luxembourg which recorded a 10% rise each.
Combined prices of bread and cereals increased by 16.6% in August, their highest rise since at least January 1997.
Global wheat prices surged after Black Sea grain exports were halted for several months and Russian fertiliser shipments were restricted.
Euro zone inflation hit a record high of 9.1% in August due to higher energy and food prices. Eurostat said 2.25 percentage points of the year-on-year change came from food, alcohol and tobacco.
