Can you image if Trump hired Nancy Pelosi and AOC to help run DOGE??…
That’s exactly what Speaker Burrows did in Texas.

SCANDAL/COVER UP: This was a "formal meeting" of a House Appropriations Subcommittee, which according to the House Rules must be held where "an audio and video recording" is broadcast to the public.
They forced us to meet in a corner of an "Ag Museum" without cameras!
They thought they could fund DEI without anyone seeing it!

On most days, Austin could be mistaken for Sacramento.
But at least in Sacramento the Democrats self-identify.

The Texas House just took another UNCONSTITUTIONAL long weekend.
Our 9th long weekend… in 9 weeks!
We are supposed to act on “emergency items” like property taxes in the first 60 days.
We have not even debated a single bill on the floor.
Texans deserves better.

Real Texans want small government and low taxes.
The Austin uniparty wants big government and high taxes.

@AndyHopperTX
was the first to sign on to HB4787 this morning.
Thanks, Andy!
It’s (past) time to end DEI in Texas government!

I keep getting asked if this is a joke… because surely the Texas House didn’t prioritize honoring Zoroastrianism over cutting property taxes.
Sadly, it is very real.

Now that bill filing in the House is basically over… it is abundantly clear that many (perhaps most) “small government Republicans” have no clue what it means to be either 1) small government or 2) a Republican.
Today is bill filing deadline.
Even though the Texas House hasn’t been working… I have.
Proud to have filed 70 of the most pro-liberty and pro-freedom bills in the history of the Texas legislature!
If the Texas DOGE was real, these would ALL pass.
Bills filed in the last few days
Banning lobbyists from being able to “buy” support with nice gifts and fancy dinners (HB 2691)
Improving the Texas energy market by getting us off unreliable “renewables” (HB 4577)
Ensuring only U.S. Citizens vote in our elections (HB 5034)
Reining in the out of control Texas Medical Board and protecting doctors from frivolous disciplinary proceedings (HB 5047)
Making the Texas government colorblind by banning the collection of race or ethnicity data on state forms (HB 5051)
Giving Texans the freedom to buy fireworks year round (HB 5052)
Ending massive corporate welfare that gives your hard earned tax dollars to huge woke multinational corporations (HB 5095)
Making local governments wait 5 years before putting a failed bond back on the ballot (HB 5319)
Term-limiting the Texas Speaker of the House to one term because the position was never intended to be powerful (HJR 208)
