The Texas House is now considering OBAMACARE EXPANSION…
Because Speaker Burrows put it on the floor.
One of the biggest DEMOCRAT priorities…
Yet we were not allowed to consider a single conservative priority today!
MASSIVE BETRAYAL!!

The Texas government has failed taxpayers!
Texans deserve better than the liberal Austin uniparty.
Texans deserve a government that prioritizes individual liberty and freedom… and understands that we must cut government to cut taxes.

: “After months of calling for A&M to end this absurd program, I was pleased to learn from Chancellor Sharp they plan to end it,” State Rep. Brian Harrison posted to X at the time. “Proud to have helped deliver this victory for Texas taxpayers, who should never be forced to fund liberal indoctrination.”

🚨TEXAS DOGE... EXPOSED!
Watch me force the Texas House "DOGE Committee" Chairman to admit that his bill grows government, increases spending by $130 MILLION, and adds more bureaucrats!
And does he not understand what a "budget offset" is??
This is DOGE... Democrat style!

: "Rep. Brian Harrision (R-Midlothian) also filed an amendment which strikes the appropriations and riders to “State Agencies of Higher Education” at a number of Texas universities, including UT Austin, Texas A&M University, and the University of Houston, because they offer certificates, degrees, or a course “ lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer studies or in diversity, equity, and inclusion, including a program or course that does not comply with the biological reality that there are only two sexes – male and female – and they are not changeable or promotes differential treatment of individuals on the basis of race, color, or ethnicity.”
He also filed an amendment to strike appropriated money for DEI programs in different state agencies, including all “business and economic development agencies,” "natural resource agencies,” “health and human services agencies,” and “all general government agencies.”
Harrison had his DEI-related amendments moved to Article IX by a vote of the House, which prompted a passionate response from the lawmaker.
“The amendments that they are killing with this motion right here include amendments to stop taxpayer funding of DEI,” Harrison protested. “They include amendments to stop taxpayer funding of liberal gender ideology in our state agencies and our public universities.”
Harrison demonstrated his dismay with the process at the end of the night, characterizing the budget as “fund[ing] DEI at such a high level that it might make the state of Texas the biggest funder of DEI in America.”
