UPDATE (bad): it passed 102-40.

Many “Republicans” helped the Democrats pass this abomination.

Here’s the vote:
Good morning! Just because the Texas House hasn’t delivered property tax cuts or passed GOP priorities doesn’t mean we’ve done nothing!

Here’s some “accomplishments:”

grown government

increased spending

criminalized memes

funded DEI

massively expanded corporate welfare

honored Beyonce, Pakistan day, and Zoroastrianism

passed hundreds of Democrat bills

created new vanity license plates

spent almost all the $24B surplus on liberal pet projects

funded liberal gender indoctrination

excepted governments from the gas tax that YOU have to pay

gave millions to liberal Hollywood

passed a “DOGE” bill that makes Texas courts more liberal than federal courts

exploded the size and power of the bureaucracy
FACT: Texas House “leadership” are a bunch of childish RINOs who empower Democrats and don’t give a damn about taxpayers.

Texans deserve real leadership who will cut government and put their LIBERTY first!
Everything in the Texas government is growing this session.

Nothing is getting cut.

Next time you hear some Texas Republican politician tell you they support “small government,”… you’re almost certainly being lied to.
And a DEMOCRAT is again presiding over the entire Texas House….

Because..

well…

The Texas House is corrupt.

WATCH: The Texas House has now spent more time debating Biden-style student loan repayment legislation… than debating eliminating property taxes.

Texans are conservative but the Texas government has gone woke.

We are finishing one of the most anti-taxpayer sessions in history with increased spending on DEI, corporate welfare, Hollywood, and liberal gender indoctrination.

Complete embarrassment: Gavin Newsome's California has FEWER occupational license regulations than... Texas.

The Texas government has been simply coasting on its "small government" reputation...

It's past time we start living up to it!

After 5 months in Austin… it was great to be back in TEXAS!

: One of Burrows' biggest critics throughout the session was Midlothian Republican Rep. Brian Harrison, who often accused the Speaker of purposely running down the clock and putting too many bills sponsored by Democrats on the calendar.

On Monday, he told The Texas Newsroom “very little good” got done this session.

“I’m very grateful that this train wreck of a session is coming to a conclusion today,” he said. “It would’ve been better for Texans if this session ended the day after it started.”

More specifically, Harrison said the state just did too much to limit Texans freedoms and spent too much taxpayer dollars.

This session was the most anti-taxpayer session in Texas history...

Instead of ELIMINATING PROPERTY TAXES with the surplus... the Austin establishment blew it on every liberal pet project imaginable.

Another day, another hit piece from a leftist rag.

Being called "cockroach" by low-IQ libs at

is a badge of honor.

The harder the swamp tries to intimidate, silence, and take me out... the harder I'll fight for liberty.

They hate me.

Because I fight for YOU!
Transparency is like kryptonite to the swamp!

The liberal, uniparty Austin establishment (and their dimwitted scribes in the dying, legacy media) can’t stand that my X feed was able to bypass them daily and expose their corruption by speaking directly to Texans.

Not.

Stopping.

We just finished the most fiscally irresponsible and anti-taxpayer session in history.

We set the surplus ablaze and property taxes are about to go UP.

From @NEWSMAX: Rep. Brian Harrison, R-Texas, told Newsmax that the Trump administration should be applauded for a "historic" takedown of a government healthcare fraud scheme.

Harrison told "America Right Now" on Saturday that it is refreshing to see a focus on waste, fraud, and abuse. "There's a culture of accountability when you have the right people in charge."

He said the scope of the fraud is almost hard to believe. "I gotta tip my hat and say what an amazing, historic job that the Trump administration has done with this takedown," Harrison said. "Historic, almost $15 billion. I think over 300 medical professionals charged. Over 200 million illegal drug pills. Just staggering, the scale."

The Department of Justice on Monday reported initial results from its coordinated takedown of healthcare fraud amounting to over $14.6 billion and the arrests of 324 defendants. Many of those arrested were healthcare professionals that the department said were directly involved in scamming the government.

Harrison is the former chief of staff of the Department of Health and Human Services during President Donald Trump's first term. He said the groundwork for this kind of investigation was put in place at that time. "I believe that this is building on the effort that was launched in 2018 or 2019, the healthcare fraud, policy, data analytics teams, which was an inter-agency effort led by DOJ and HHS," Harrison said.

He pointed out it also takes a desire to use the tools at hand. "Here's the real headline. What a difference one year makes," Harrison said. "Just this one takedown, just this one enforcement action. In the first six months of President Trump's term, building on the work he established in the first term."
Put that in contrast, he said, with healthcare fraud enforcement during the administration of former President Joe Biden. "They have done more to combat waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicare than Joe Biden did in his entire four years of his administration," Harrison noted
From #KXAN_News: “But State Rep. Brian Harrison, R-Midlothian, said these Republican strategies do not go far enough, arguing Burrows should have prevented the quorum break from ever starting.

“This is an abject failure of the Republican leadership of the state of Texas, who could have prevented the quorum break from stopping they chose to help the Democrats, and they’re choosing to not force the Democrats to come back,” Harrison said. “It’s outrageous.”

Harrison suggested that the governor pledge to veto any bills sponsored by Democrats, and for the speaker to strip Democrats of their senior roles on some committees.

“I’m fighting for the people that don’t work in this building, and not one of my constituents thought anything that was announced last week by our so called Republican Speaker was worth applauding, and the fact that my so called Republican colleagues were applauding that weakness was utterly embarrassing,” Harrison said.”
Anyone saying that Texas Republicans have been “using every tool available to force the Democrats to return” are either ignorant or lying.
