It has been the honor of my life to be the voice for freedom and the fighter for liberty on behalf of the patriotic men and women of House District 10, and I am honored by the confidence they reaffirmed in me last night with the overwhelming and outright victory we achieved against the liberal Austin swamp.
Because of my unprecedented efforts to expose corruption and force historic conservative policy victories, liberals and the Austin swamp ran multiple candidates and spent well over half a million dollars to defeat the most effective and conservative member of the Texas Legislature - and got crushed.
The people of House District 10 will NOT be bought!
When the final votes were counted, we won a staggering 58 out of 60 precincts in HD-10!
This was a victory for the grassroots in Ellis County, and words cannot express how grateful Tara and I are for your support.
Our freedom and liberties do not come from government, but from God. And the number one role of government is to protect our God-given liberties. I have never forgotten that as government expands, liberty shrinks.
As the people of HD-10 once again place their trust in my leadership, I will renew the most important commitment I made to them when I first ran: I will always fight for LESS GOVERNMENT, AND MORE FREEDOM!
I will also continue to maintain the hardest working, most responsive, most transparent, and most communicative State Representative office in the state of Texas to serve all of my constituents.
Now, all Republicans must turn our attention to an even bigger threat: the Democrat goal of flipping Texas. Texas is not often thought of as a battleground state. But make no mistake about it: Texas is the crown jewel in the leftists’ plan to destroy America. Democrats turned out in record numbers across Texas, and we must not rest after tonight’s victory. By working together, let’s redouble our efforts to defeat the Democrats in November and protect our beloved Lone Star State.
In closing, THANK YOU to the thousands of patriots in Ellis County and all across Texas who supported our campaign with prayers, encouragement, donations, votes, and countless hours volunteering to ensure this decisive victory.

Perhaps the most scandalous and underreported aspect of the Talarico story is that his rise to national prominence was aided by the "Republican" leadership of the Texas House.
Talarico helped elect Dustin Burrows as Speaker of the House in 2025.

From The New American: On July 1, Texas Representative Brian Harrison (R-Midlothian) issued a statement declaring that “Texans deserve action, not just rhetoric, from their state leaders.”
He continued:
Texas must start acting like the sovereign state it is and stop taking it on the chin when actions from DC threaten to destroy the very fabric of our republic. Texas must not simply act like a powerless bystander but take bold and decisive action to protect liberty for future generations. I am publicly demanding an immediate special session to combat the harms from mass birth tourism, pressure the federal government to fix birth tourism, and to protect the value of citizenship that countless paid the ultimate price for.
Harrison ended his statement by stating, “I hope every elected Republican in Texas joins my call for immediate action. Delay is unacceptable for a state like Texas!”
Additionally, Representative @chiproytx (R-Texas) responded to Harrison’s call for a special session by noting that “Texas should do this — and more.”

Harrison’s call for a special session raises an important principle: Constitutionally, the states retain their sovereign authority to restrict immigration within their borders — and they must act to protect American sovereignty and deter mass migration. In fact, Texas acted itself to secure its border with Mexico, including by building border barriers, spending record sums on border security, and criminalizing illegal migration. Having a Republican occupy the U.S. presidency does not absolve the states from this duty.

🚨PROPERTY TAX HIKE ALERT!!! Your local governments are about to vote on whether or not to raise your property taxes!!
Property tax discussions are often made overly complicated by big government liberals who want to raise your taxes, but who don’t want you to know it!
Let me cut through the spin and be crystal clear: ANY LOCAL OFFICIAL WHO VOTES FOR A TAX RATE HIGHER THAN THE NO-NEW-REVENUE (NNR) RATE IS VOTING TO RAISE YOUR PROPERTY TAXES!!
Be warned, you’ll likely hear officials brag that they plan to “lower your tax RATE.” This is a gimmick... even if your tax RATE is lower than last year's tax RATE, due to rising property appraisals, your property tax BILL will still be higher than last year’s bill if the rate is set higher than the NNR rate.
You can think of the NO-NEW-REVENUE rate (NNR) as last year's “effective” rate adjusted for inflation of assessed values. And the “no new revenue” rate is a very misleading name because it actually brings in a ton of new revenue to local government, especially in growing areas.
Never forget: a lower property tax RATE is still a property TAX INCREASE… if the rate is set higher than NNR, even if the rate is lower than last year's.
Join me in demanding local governments CUT PROPERTY TAXES by setting rates that are BELOW the No-New-Revenue rate.
Tell them that you know that any vote for a rate higher than the NNR is a vote to raise property taxes!
