Honestly at this point Facebook is everywhere. If you think that you don't use Facebook you're probably wrong.
They lie about their concern for your privacy. Facebook has to try to appeal to advertise...

I've said this again and again..
A centralized service is always bound to fail. In proportion to their userbase.
Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Signal are temporary. Look into federated/decentralized solutions.

WhatsApp’s New Privacy Policy Just Kicked In. Here’s What You Need to Know
Instead of a hard cutoff, the messaging app will gradually degrade and eventually cease to function if you don’t accept the changes.
The changes sparked a major backlash, though, because they inadvertently highlighted WhatsApp's years-old policy of sharing certain user data, like phone numbers, with parent company Facebook. Rather than change the policy that sparked the controversy, WhatsApp instead moved the deadline for users to accept it from the original date of February 8 to Saturday. If you don't? WhatsApp will become unusable.

The bigger point is even if they jump ship - it's either Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Google or Amazon they have to choose from. Why? Because that's how its designed. #BreakupBigTech
Apple’s China team warned Mr. Cook that China could shut down iCloud in the country if it did not comply with the new cybersecurity law.
So Mr. Cook agreed to move the personal data of his Chinese customers to the servers of a Chinese state-owned company. That led to a project known inside Apple as “Golden Gate.”
Apple encrypts customers’ private data in its iCloud service. But for most of that information, Apple also has the digital keys to unlock that encryption.

Apple Shares Hilarious New ‘Tracked’ Ad Showcasing App Tracking in Real World
Apple today shared a new ‘Tracked’ ad on its YouTube channel showcasing how the app tracking works in the real world, and what’s the importance of app tracking transparency.
⚠️ Don't misunderstand iPhone for privacy though. It is just to portray how tracking works, sort of.
