Just because you don’t remember having a conflict shock does not mean that it didn’t happen.⁣*

Here are some reasons that you may not recognize that you’ve had a conflict. ⁣

1. Separation Conflicts. ⁣

Part of the biological purpose of separation conflict is to give you short term memory loss to forget the one you are separated from. ⁣

Nature is merciful and helps you move on with life by forgetting.⁣

2. You’re not categorizing it as a conflict shock because it wasn’t something crazy like a house fire or car wreck or overt abuse. ⁣

A conflict shock CAN be some huge obviously traumatic event, but it doesn’t HAVE to be. ⁣

The criteria for a biological conflict = unexpected, dramatic, isolating.⁣ Even seemingly minor events can activate these criteria and initiate a biological adaptation program.

3. You’re overlooking how unbiological society is. ⁣

Things that are considered totally normal in modern society - ultrasounds, medicalized birth procedures, daycare, divorce, vaccination, circumcision, doctor visits, inserting thermometers, violence and sex in tv and movies, etc - can easily cause biological conflicts.⁣

4. Your 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is colored by your conflicts and constellations. ⁣

Specifically identity conflicts, self devaluation conflicts, and constellations make it hard to take an objective view of oneself and to consider that a conflict shock may have occurred that has shaped the way you are now or the health conditions you’ve experienced.⁣

Something to keep in mind as you continue exploring the world through the lens of adaptive biology and 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲 is the principle of non-judgmentalism and the 5th Biological Law, The Quintessence.⁣

There is nothing evil in Nature⁣
There is no judgement in Nature. ⁣
Nature only does what makes sense.⁣
There is only intelligent adaptation to circumstances.⁣

I’ll make another post about things you can do when you can’t remember your conflict.

*Poisoning can be a cause for symptoms where a biological conflict shock is not involved.

If you keep touching the hot stove top, you keep the burn from fully healing.

You keep telling the same stories.

You keep imagining outcomes you don’t want.

You keep letting fear run the show.

You’re believing scary stories about your body.

You are not taking your thoughts captive.

You’re not imagining ideal outcomes.

You have the gift of imagining, but you haven’t yet developed the skill of intentional imagining.

Don’t take this the wrong way…

Your body isn’t making a mistake.

YOU are.

You are unconsciously sending alarm messages to your body which are either causing or reactivating biological tissue adaptations.

When you imagine that a symptom means there’s something wrong with your body without realizing it you are pouring gasoline on a controlled burn.

Fear and panic are the accelerators of symptoms.

Worrying about your symptoms is not helping you.

Allowing your mind to run on autopilot and replay scary scenarios is not helping you.

We all need to learn how the body works and how to consciously direct our inner state of being- our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
