Peter I (9 June 1672 – 8 February 1725), also known as Peter Alexeyevich and more commonly as Peter the Great, was Tsar of Russia from 1682 until his death. During his reign, he vastly expanded the borders of the Russian Empire, and modernized Russia's political and cultural systems through the introduction of Western-style Enlightenment values. He leads the Russians in Civilization VI.
