✏️In written English, when we want to use the exact words of another person, we use quotation marks (" ") at the beginning and at the end of a phrase or sentence. For example: Yesterday, he told me "Anna is going to go to Spain". However, in spoken English people cannot use these quotation marks. Therefore, they raise their fingers and flex them to singal the place of the quotation marks! Example: Yesterday, he told me [fingers flexing] Anna is going to go to Spain [fingers flexing].
