🌀 The Suffix -wise

🔎 The suffix (= letters that are added to the end of another word) –wise is an adverb maker that comes in very handy:

1️⃣ In some fixed expressions, it means in the direction of .
💭EXAMPLES: lengthwise, clockwise, anti-clockwise

2️⃣ It is used in some useful function words.
💭EXAMPLES: likewise, otherwise

3️⃣🔅 The suffix -wise can also be added to a large number of words in the sense of from a ... point of view , refering to , or speaking of .
