Here's an expression that confuses many readers!
🛠 The jury is still out
🍯 What does this mean?
We say the jury is still out when a decision about something hasn't been made.
Examples:
🔺Will the new movie be a success? The jury's still out!
🔺The jury's on who will be the next opener for India is still out.
Origin: In many legal trials, the result of the trial isn't known until a jury has finished discussing the case and returned to the courtroom. Until then, we say that "the jury is still out".
